Sr. Workflow Automation Specialist

Remote (this job may be performed in any state in the U.S.)

What You’ll Do:

The Sr. Workflow Automation Specialist designs, builds, modernizes, and supports automation solutions that improve efficiency, reliability, scalability, and the customer and employee experience. This is a hands-on senior role for a self-directed problem solver who can balance reliable day-to-day production support with proactively identifying and delivering new ways to improve how CX operates.

• Automation Development & Modernization: Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of workflow automations and integrations. Modernize existing Automation Anywhere solutions by migrating, redesigning, and optimizing workflows in Power Automate to improve reliability, maintainability, and scalability. Work across platforms such as Salesforce, Smartsheet, Jira, and other business systems, using APIs and integrations to connect systems and streamline end-to-end processes.
• Automation Discovery & Continuous Improvement: Proactively partner across CX to understand business processes, identify opportunities to simplify or automate work, assess potential solutions, and build a pipeline of high-value automation opportunities. Lead initiatives from discovery through implementation and measure resulting business impact. Use AI tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, and Codex to accelerate discovery, solution design, development, testing, documentation, and problem-solving where appropriate.
• Production Support & Reliability: Monitor production automations and support channels, troubleshoot issues across workflows, data, integrations, and dependencies, and respond to time-sensitive requests. Own issues through resolution and proactively communicate incidents, impact, status, workarounds, risks, and resolution to stakeholders.
• Delivery & Operational Ownership: Independently manage multiple initiatives, milestones, and priorities; surface blockers and risks early; and validate solutions through prototypes, demonstrations, testing, and iterative delivery. Document processes, solutions, dependencies, support procedures, and known issues so automations can be effectively maintained and supported by others. Establish repeatable standards for testing, monitoring, support, and continuous improvement.
• Data & Insights Enablement: Support operational reporting and data workflows, including data preparation, validation, recurring reporting, and dashboard inputs, in partnership with the Customer Data & Insights Director and other data partners.

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 5+ years of experience in workflow automation, robotic process automation (RPA), process improvement, business systems, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience designing, developing, and supporting production automations, including testing, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and ongoing optimization.
• Strong consultative and process-discovery skills, with the ability to understand how work is performed today, identify pain points and downstream impacts, and translate complex business needs into practical future-state solutions.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Automate and/or comparable enterprise automation platforms; experience modernizing legacy RPA solutions is preferred.
• Experience working across multiple business and technology platforms, such as Salesforce,Smartsheet, Jira, Microsoft Power Platform, and related systems, with an understanding of APIs, integrations, workflow design, and data dependencies.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional automation initiatives, influence stakeholders and drive work from discovery through implementation and measurable outcomes.
• Strong organizational and project-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently, follow through on commitments, and proactively communicate progress, risks, issues, and changing timelines.
• Comfortable using AI and emerging technologies, including tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, and Codex, to improve speed, quality, automation design, and problem-solving.
• Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and learning agility, with a track record of learning new technologies, questioning existing processes, identifying opportunities without waiting for direction, and determining the best technology or approach for a business problem.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with operational teams, Product Owners, engineering, IT, data partners, and senior stakeholders.
