Job Description

Become part of the team powering household names like Andrex®, Kleenex®, Cottonelle®, Scott®, Viva®, and WypAll®. At Arbex, everything you need is right here: innovation, growth, and the chance to leave a real mark.

Settling for just any role isn't you, and it isn't us either. Being Unstoppable Together calls for a particular kind of person and teams who genuinely care about making a difference. Here, you'll channel your professional expertise, talent, and drive into building and managing a portfolio of iconic, ground-breaking brands. In this role, you'll help shape the future of tissue and hygiene for billions of people worldwide.

About You

As our SSA Senior Marketing Manager, you will be a key member of the South Africa Leadership Team and a strategic advisor to the General Manager, helping shape growth opportunities, portfolio priorities, customer strategy and commercial investments.

You will provide leadership across the commercial agenda, connecting business strategy with marketplace execution and bringing together Marketing, Category Management, Trade Marketing, Sales and Customer Development to deliver sustainable, profitable growth.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Translating regional and business growth priorities into locally relevant commercial and marketing strategies, while influencing investment, resource allocation and organizational priorities.
  • Driving alignment across Marketing, Category Management, Trade Marketing, Sales and Customer Development to ensure effective execution of business priorities.
  • Providing strategic leadership and governance across Family Care and KCP marketing organizations, including portfolio prioritization, innovation commercialization and marketing investment.
  • Shaping category, channel and customer growth strategies and ensuring alignment with South Africa's overall business priorities.
  • Guiding the deployment of DPSM principles and customer development priorities to strengthen marketplace execution.
  • Providing strategic oversight of trade marketing, shopper marketing and commercial activation, connecting marketing and customer strategy with sales execution.
  • Using local market, customer and category insights to identify growth opportunities and focus resources on the highest-value priorities.
  • Championing continuous improvement and leading transformation initiatives that strengthen commercial capabilities and marketplace competitiveness.

Required Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, Economics, Finance or a related field.
  • Typically 10–15 years of progressive experience across commercial, sales, marketing, category management, revenue growth management, trade marketing or related business leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated success leading multiple commercial disciplines and delivering profitable growth in a complex consumer goods environment, with significant experience in at least three of the following: Category Management, Trade Marketing, Brand Marketing, Commercial Strategy, Sales/Customer Development or Revenue Growth Management.
  • Strong strategic and commercial leadership capability, including financial acumen, multifunctional team leadership, senior stakeholder influence, data-driven decision making and the ability to operate effectively in ambiguity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Postgraduate qualification such as an MBA, Master's degree or equivalent commercial/business qualification.
  • Experience leading organizational change, transformation or operating-model redesign initiatives.
  • Experience operating within a matrixed regional and global organization.
  • Revenue Growth Management experience.

What You'll Bring

You will combine advanced knowledge of commercial strategy and Go-to-Market execution with a strong understanding of FMCG dynamics, customer channels, shopper behaviour and competitive landscapes.

Your expertise will span areas such as category and portfolio management, channel strategy, pricing, trade investment optimization, promotional effectiveness and revenue growth management. You'll also bring strong financial acumen and the ability to interpret P&L drivers, investment trade-offs, forecasts and overall business performance.

Just as importantly, you'll bring an enterprise-wide perspective, executive-level communication and influencing skills, a passion for developing talent, and the ability to lead multifunctional teams through change and competing priorities.
