NOT AN ENTRY-LEVEL ROLE. You must have verifiable experience managing U.S.-based home-service clients (roofing, tree service, HVAC, plumbing, remodeling, and similar). On the application, you'll be asked to name the U.S. home-service clients you managed. If you can't, this role isn't a fit.
Full-time · Remote · U.S. Central Time (Chicago) business hours, Monday to Friday · Competitive, above-average pay
What do we mean by "home services"? If you've managed them, you know! If not:
Home-service businesses are local companies that send a crew or technician to a customer's home or property: roofing, tree service, HVAC (heating and air conditioning), plumbing, electrical, remodeling, landscaping and lawn care, pest control, garage doors, painting, concrete, and similar trades. Homeowners usually find them by searching Google ("tree removal near me") or through Facebook ads, and every lead is a phone call or form that should turn into a booked job. Not home services: restaurants, retail, e-commerce, real estate agents, medical/dental, law firms, and software/SaaS.
About Valpo Agency
Valpo Agency is a U.S.-based digital marketing agency headquartered in Valparaiso, Indiana. We help home-service businesses, especially tree service and remodeling companies, generate more leads and booked jobs through Google Ads, Meta Ads, SEO, websites, Google Business Profiles, and call and lead tracking.
About the Role: You're the Glue
You'll be the link between our clients and our team. Our clients are busy, direct, results-focused contractors who need one person who knows their business, answers quickly, explains what's happening in plain language, and makes sure things get done. Our Google Ads, Meta Ads, SEO, and web specialists need one person who turns client feedback into clear direction.
You won't run campaigns yourself, but you need to understand digital marketing well enough to explain it, ask the right questions, and stand up for your clients.
What You'll Do
Onboarding & Launch
• Lead kickoff calls with new clients and set clear expectations for timelines, communication, and results • Collect access and assets (Google Ads, Google Business Profile, website, call tracking, photos, service areas) and keep launches on track
Main Point of Contact
• Respond to clients the same business day
• Hold regular review calls and send a written recap with action items within 24 hours
• Know each client's business: services, service area, busy season, average job value, and what a good lead looks like to them
Results in Plain English
• Explain calls, leads, cost per lead, and booked jobs in language contractors understand
• Dig into lead quality with clients (call recordings, close rates, missed calls), not just lead counts
Team Coordination
• Turn client requests and feedback into clear Asana tasks for our specialists, and follow up until they're done
• Advocate for your clients while respecting the team's capacity
Retention & Growth
• Track account health (green / yellow / red) and flag risks before the client brings them up
• Handle tough conversations calmly, with data and a plan
• Spot opportunities that help clients grow, like new service areas, Local Services Ads, or website improvements
What Success Looks Like
• Clients stay, renew, and refer other contractors
• Every client call has a written recap with clear owners and next steps
• Problems are caught and raised before the client notices
• Our specialists always know exactly what each client needs
Must-Haves:
• 2+ years of client-facing account management, client success, or client services at a digital marketing agency
• Verifiable experience managing U.S.-based home-service clients • Confidence leading video calls with U.S. business owners on your own, including difficult ones
• Working knowledge of Google Ads, Local Services Ads, Meta Ads, SEO, Google Business Profiles, websites, and call/lead tracking (WhatConverts, CallRail)
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Highly organized across many accounts, with strong follow-through
• Daily use of AI tools for notes, recaps, and drafting
• Full availability during U.S. Central Time (Chicago) business hours, Monday to Friday
Nice to Have:
• Tree service or remodeling clients
• Experience with WhatConverts, CallRail, Asana, or HighLevel
• Familiarity with home-service software such as ServiceTitan, Jobber, or Housecall Pro
You're Probably Not a Fit If:
• Your client experience is mostly in non-home-service industries (e-commerce, SaaS, real estate, medical, etc.) or with clients outside the U.S.
• Your background is call-center, customer support, or sales-only, without ongoing ownership of agency client accounts
• You'd rather work behind the scenes than lead client calls
• You're looking for a part-time or side role
What We Offer:
• A full-time, long-term remote role with real ownership of client relationships
• Competitive, above-average pay for the right person
• A focused, growing agency where your work directly affects client results
We're looking for a self-starter who works with minimal guidance and holds themselves accountable. This is not a "finish in two hours and log off" role. We expect a full day's work, and we pay above average to match. We are a fast-growing company, with extremely high client retention rates, and a rockstar team to match. We want the best to join our team! Of course, attention to detail is important in this role. If you've read this far, mention the color purple in your final section on the application page, "Additional Comments". It might sound silly, but it helps us make sure we are talking to the best of the best.
If this sounds like a match, we would love to hear from you!
