Role Overview
This role plays a central part in Travelpro’s evolution from a trusted legacy brand into a design-led, consumer-focused modern mobility company.
- The Staff Accountant is responsible for general accounting activities that support accurate and timely financial reporting.
- The role owns daily processes for fixed assets, intangible assets, prepaid expenses, intercompany transactions, standard journal entries, and the maintenance of master Excel reconciliation workbooks.
- Will analyze prepaid, fixed asset, intangible and intercompany activity and determine the appropriate resolution of discrepancies.
- The position partners with operations, accounts payable, finance, accounts receivable, and management to communicate issues and outcomes.
- Success in this role strengthens the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of financial information across multiple ledger accounts.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger through account analysis, reconciliations, and journal entry preparation.
- Lead month-end reconciliations by investigating reconciling items and driving timely resolution.
- Maintain detailed reconciliation schedules, supporting documentation, and complex multi-tab Excel workbooks that provide a clear audit trail.
- Prepare journal entries for fixed assets, intangibles, prepaids, intercompany, foreign exchange and other activity in accordance with internal accounting practices and GAAP.
- Oversee commission, month-end expense analysis review, monitor account activity, and process necessary reclassifications to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Collaborate with internal departments and accounting leadership to support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Support multiple audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and financial analyses.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
What It Takes
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Three or more years of accounting experience with full-cycle corporate accounting required.
- Demonstrated ability to complete reconciliations manually using Excel workbooks.
- Experience working cross-functionally with operations, treasury, sales systems, management, and audit partners.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with AI interfaces a plus.

- Reconciliation expertise: Accurately reconciles monthly activity across multiple accounts and entities and resolves discrepancies with appropriate support.
- Analytical judgment: Applies critical thinking to distinguish errors from timing differences, interpret accounting activity, and identify the correct treatment.
- Excel proficiency: Builds and maintains complex multi-tab workbooks and uses pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIF, and SUMIFS to support reconciliations and analysis.
- Execution and organization: Manages multiple tasks and projects, maintains detailed documentation, and follows through on time-sensitive accounting deliverables.
- Clear communication and collaboration: Communicates cash issues, discrepancies, and unusual transactions concisely and works effectively across functions.

Requirements
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and three or more years of relevant accounting experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIF, and SUMIFS; proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Access.
- Knowledge of cash accounting, bank reconciliations, journal entries, internal accounting practices, and GAAP; Shopify or e-commerce reconciliation experience is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, critical thinking, organization, and attention to detail.
