  • Conduct data research and compile reports, summaries, and responses to support management and controlling functions
  • Lead the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures, while contributing to the continuous improvement of financial processes and internal controls
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for accounting related matters and manage a broad range of financial responsibilities, taking on additional tasks and special projects as required

Job Requirements

  • Certified CPA (or CPA eligible) or a Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field combined with a Master’s degree in Accounting

  • Proficiency in advanced accounting processes, including journal entries, accruals and prepayments, month-end close activities and year-end tax preparation
  • Comprehensive understanding of US GAAP and its practical application
  • Experience with revenue recognition and deferred revenue accounting, including accrual-based revenue recognition, maintaining deferred revenue schedules, and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP (ASC 606).
  • Basic knowledge of tax regulations and a willingness to further develop expertise in this area
  • Experience working with Quickbooks, ERP systems, and/or inventory management systems preferred
  • Experience supporting corporate mergers, entity reorganizations, or post-merger accounting integration, including general ledger transitions, account reconciliations, and financial reporting is preferred
  • Experience related to DCAA accounting practices optional
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel, and the ability to learn new software packages
  • Excellent organizational and planning abilities, as well as problem-solving skills
  • High degree of initiative, as well as detail-oriented and reliable working style
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
