Staff Accountant

Innovu is a growing Pittsburgh, PA-based data analytics company providing comprehensive solutions that enable advisors and their employer clients to optimize their benefits strategy, human capital risk management, and health benefit design. The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting Innovu's Finance Team leadership and working across a range of key financial areas including revenue recognition, accounts receivable, invoicing, commissions, sales tax and management reporting. The Staff Accountant will be a valuable member of the Innovu Finance team and be able to successfully interact with other members of the Finance team and Innovu employees in various roles. Must possess real attention to detail. The position allows for a remote work arrangement with occasional trips into the office for in-person meetings. Responsibilities Support the Finance Manager in software revenue recognition, contract accounting, customer invoicing and related reconciliations Perform AR follow up and related customer communications to ensure timely collections from customers Support the Finance Team’s reporting responsibilities by generating a range of financial reports and dashboards such as cash collections forecasting and specific customer analyses Assist the Finance Manager Revenue Analysts and Accounting Manager in maintaining and updating various financial software systems including our general ledger, revenue management system, sales commission system, etc Complete special accounting analyses and projects as requested Minimum Qualifications Requires a bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience Experience with NetSuite or other major ERP/GL software is highly desirable Exceptional attention to detail and a willingness to do “whatever it takes” to support Innovu’s growth and the Finance Team’s priorities in a fast-moving environment Outstanding Excel and spreadsheet skills, including pivot tables and vlookup / hlookup formulas Strong sense of customer service to address Finance’s internal customers’ needs consistently and effectively Demonstrated aptitude for learning new software applications Self-motivated; comfortable working independently under general direction Excellent written and verbal communication skills What We Offer Mission-driven culture where your contributions have real impact Flexible work arrangements Collaborative work environment Growth and advancement opportunities Low cost medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) plan with an employer match Company paid life insurance, short-term disability, and long-term disability coverage Paid time off Paid parental leave And more!
