Staff Embedded C++ Software Engineer ( Robotics ) The Staff Embedded C++ Software Engineer ( Robotics ) will support high-priority autonomous robot systems at a major warehouse automation client through development, 61508 certification , and field testing phases. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : Work in a fast-paced cross-functional team Work directly under client direction to understand requirements and implement solutions according to the client’s standards and processes Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, d esign, develop ment , code review, unit testing, integration, and verification Create and maintain detailed software documentation Develop features, components, and infrastructure for autonomous robot systems Create/execute Unit Tests, Functional Integration Tests, and Safety Assessment activities Develop diagnostics, test code, and utilities to support certification Support documentation and field testing activities REQUIRED SKILLS : 2 + years professional experience or equivalent internship/co-op experience with embedded systems programming Proficiency with modern C++ and/ or Rust Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) Knowledge of microcontroller programming and hardware interfaces Understanding of memory constraints and optimization techniques Familiarity with embedded debugging tools and techniques U nderstanding of real-time concepts, thread synchronization, memory management, and performance tuning on Linux Familiarity with modern tools and processes ( Git, unit testing, CI/CD) Familiarity with Agile development concepts Demonstrated commitment to high qualit y Strong oral and written communication skills Highly motivated, self-disciplined, independent and results oriented Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science , Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics or related discipline preferred, or equivalent years of experience DESIRED EXPERIENCE : Experience with robotics Background /coursework in Electrical Engineering Ability to troubleshoot hardware and motor controls The base salary for this position is $90,000 to $140,000 annually, and the role is bonus eligible.
