Lead Full Stack Software Developer Location: Cape Town, South Africa (Remote for now, with a future local office) Salary Range: R110 000 – R140 000 per month Company Overview Lead Forensics is a leading UK-based SaaS company specializing in B2B sales and marketing solutions. We’re expanding our team and are looking for a highly experienced Lead Full Stack Software Developer (10+ years experience) to join us in delivering innovative, customer-facing products. About the Role As a Lead Full Stack Software Developer, you’ll play a key role in guiding technical projects from initial design through to full implementation. You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders and product teams, iteratively developing on our modern tech stack, and supporting rapid deployment to production in AWS. Daily, you will help transform ideas into scalable solutions, ensuring quality and security at every stage. Please note: This role is open to candidates based in the Cape Town area. Our Tech Stack NodeJS microservices Vue.js Redis SQL Server & SingleStore TypeScript (5+ years’ experience required) AWS Key Responsibilities Collaborate with stakeholders on initial solution design, scope, and system architecture Spike and prototype areas of technical uncertainty, building proof of concepts as required Work with initiative managers to decompose work into deliverable Epics and Stories Develop production-ready code as both a high performing individual contributor and as a lead developer/architect within small squads Ensure quality, maintainability, and operational excellence of software delivered Support and maintain products post-launch, handling issues as they arise Contribute to design, architecture, and implementation decisions Requirements 10+ years’ experience in software development, with recent experience as a tech/team lead Fluency in TypeScript (minimum 5+ years) Strong full stack development experience, ideally building large-scale SaaS platforms Deep understanding of clean code, SOLID principles, and design patterns Proven experience in system design, domain modelling, and scalable architectures Demonstrated ability to work in a mature CI/CD and DevSecOps environment, deploying code daily Experience with automated testing and QA best practices A forward-thinking, AI-positive approach to accelerating software development Strong commercial mindset and problem-solving aptitude Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills, including experience working directly with customers Commitment to building secure, high-performance systems A degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience What We Offer Employment with a fast-growing UK SaaS company Initially remote working, with future plans for a dedicated South Africa office Competitive salary and benefits A collaborative, growth-oriented company culture that fosters our core DNA Opportunities to give back to the community through volunteer days, fundraising, and charity events Join us at Lead Forensics and help shape the future of B2B SaaS solutions!
