Staff Engineer/ Tech Lead

The role We're looking for a Staff Engineer / Tech Lead to join our Engineering team. In this role, you'll combine hands-on technical delivery with impact that extends beyond a single team: raising engineering standards, helping teams work through ambiguous problems, and supporting the growth of the engineers around you. You'll work as part of a team on modernization efforts and new feature initiatives, including AI-related capabilities, and your focus and team assignment may evolve based on where the organization needs expertise most. Impact in this role spans four areas: hands-on project delivery, engineering excellence across the wider backend, providing direction when problems are ambiguous, and contributing to the growth of the people around you. This role tends to be the most rewarding for engineers who enjoy being a multiplier for the people around them: unblocking teams, shaping direction together, and growing others along the way, rather than working in isolation or waiting to be told exactly what to do next. What you will do Work hands-on within your team, contributing to the design, development, and delivery of features and technical solutions Lead technical modernization efforts within your team while enabling delivery of new functionality, including AI-related features Raise engineering standards and practices across the backend, and help solve problems shared across multiple teams Help teams turn ambiguous, poorly defined problems into a clear plan of action when experience or confidence is lacking Contribute to the growth of engineers around you through mentoring, input into personal development plans, and recommendations on skills, resources, or courses Balance hands-on delivery with acting as an enabler for other engineers and processes, rather than simply directing others' work What you bring Expert-level backend engineering skills in C# / .NET Solid experience with automated testing, DevOps practices, and working with databases A strong product mindset - understanding of the business and product context behind technical decisions Proven ability to work autonomously and collaborate as a peer with senior engineers, without needing tasks broken down for you Comfort with responsibilities beyond pure technical delivery, such as mentoring, cross-team collaboration, or representing the team on broader initiatives Strong communication skills and an Upper-intermediate (B2) or higher level of English Nice to have Hands-on experience building or integrating AI-related features Experience with system design and architecture-level decision-making What we offer We highly value our people, so we will empower you with all the resources and support to help you reach your full potential.
