Staff Software Engineer – Card Issuing | Remote

I’m working with a fintech scale-up looking for a hands-on Staff Engineer to lead the build of a new card issuance product.

The goal is to deliver an MVP within six months, then develop a stable, expanded product while sharing specialist knowledge with the existing engineering team.

You’ll own the technical architecture and delivery, working through issuer/processor integrations, card lifecycle and transaction flows, and translating regulatory, compliance and reporting requirements into practical engineering decisions.

We’re looking for:

• Personal experience implementing and launching card issuing products within a neobank, payments provider or comparable fintech.
• Strong commercial Go experience and financial transaction systems knowledge.
• The ability to lead a technical workstream while remaining hands-on.
• Experience working with compliance teams, issuing partners and card schemes.

The core stack is Go and TypeScript.

• Remote
• London office available.
