The Opportunity
We are looking for a Strategic Finance Lead to help shape Iru’s financial strategy and support the company through its next stage of growth.
This is not a traditional FP&A role. We need a strategic finance leader who can own core planning and performance work while also helping leadership make critical decisions about company capitalization, debt and equity, capital structure, and potential fundraising.
The ideal candidate brings exceptional financial judgment, rigorous modeling skills, and a deep understanding of how investors think. You will translate complex financial and operating information into clear recommendations and develop compelling materials that communicate Iru’s performance, strategy, and opportunity to senior leadership, the Board, and prospective investors.
How You’ll Make a Difference
Shape Company and Capital Strategy: Evaluate debt and equity alternatives, capital structure, financing needs, and fundraising scenarios. Build clear frameworks that help leadership make informed decisions about how and when to capitalize the company.
Develop Investor-Ready Materials: Create rigorous, compelling presentations and analyses for prospective investors, the Board, and senior leadership. Translate Iru’s performance, strategy, and outlook into a clear financial narrative.
Own Financial Modeling and Scenario Planning: Build and maintain integrated financial models that assess operating plans, investments, hiring, growth opportunities, capital needs, and other strategic scenarios.
Lead Core FP&A Processes: Drive forecasting, annual planning, budgeting, variance analysis, and management reporting. Develop actionable insights into business performance and the factors driving results.
Partner With Senior Leaders: Work closely with functional and executive leaders to develop budgets, forecasts, investment cases, and operating plans. Challenge assumptions constructively and clarify the financial implications of key decisions.
Support Strategic Initiatives: Evaluate new opportunities and company-level priorities through market analysis, business cases, financial diligence, and decision support.
Strengthen the Strategic Finance Function: Build rigorous, scalable processes and analyses that improve the speed and quality of decision-making across Finance and the broader business.
What We’re Looking For
6+ years of experience across strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, management consulting, private equity, venture capital, or a related analytical discipline.
A background that combines two or more of the following is strongly preferred; candidates with experience across three or all four will be especially compelling:
Investment banking
Management consulting
Private equity or venture capital
In-house strategic finance or FP&A
Strong command of financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, scenario planning, valuation, and capital structure analysis.
Experience developing executive-, Board-, or investor-facing materials, with an ability to turn detailed analysis into a concise and persuasive narrative.
Meaningful hands-on FP&A experience and the ability to operate across both strategic and recurring finance responsibilities.
Experience in a high-growth SaaS or technology company strongly preferred.
Excellent business judgment and the ability to move comfortably between detailed analysis and executive-level communication.
A proactive, resourceful approach and comfort operating in a fast-moving environment where the priorities are high stakes and the path forward may not always be defined.
