About the Department

UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub2) is a UOB-wholly owned subsidiary and a Centre of Excellence based in Malaysia, providing Group Business Services (GBS) to support the UOB Group. Started in 2021 with technology application design, development and support, InnoHub2 is expanding beyond technology services to deliver other business services to support the Bank’s growth ambition. We are looking for talented and motivated individuals to be part of the pioneer team spearheading the development and delivery of the new services.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a Strategic Planning Manager to oversee the organization’s business strategy and drive the successful completion of strategic initiatives within the center of excellence. This includes implementation of internal center-wide projects, as well as managing business expansion initiatives as part of future growth plans.

Ultimately, you will be responsible for the execution of business strategy in alignment with our corporate vision as well as overseeing key strategic projects within the centre.


Other responsibilities include:

    • Lead cross-functional teams to drive strategic projects such that cost, quality, plan, time, and benefits realization are controlled and achieved, and the project meets the overall goal
    • Manage project planning, milestone management, scope management, resource forecasting
    • Track project financials to ensure adherence to the agreed budget
    • Ensure cross-project dependencies and risks are managed
    • Define and embed project control and governance
    • Prepare regular project status reporting for management (Malaysia, Group), including steering committee reporting

JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum 8 years of relevant project management and/or business strategy development experience.
    • Experience in organization transformation across people, process, technology.
    • Strong skills in creating and maintaining project and programme plans, including risks, actions, issues, and dependencies.
    • Knowledge of benefits and dependency mapping, risk management, and resource planning.
    • Highly proficient IT skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot.
    • Excellent communication (written, verbal) and interpersonal skills to positively influence people to make the appropriate decisions and resolve conflicts effectively.
    • Performance-driven balanced with proven success of working effectively in a cross-functional team in an international environment.
    • Process-oriented and possesses a strategic mindset with the ability to have a holistic view.
    • Ability to deliver and articulate a presentation confidently and effectively to a wider project committee and management.
    • Relevant experience in the financial services industry is advantageous.
