Job Overview

The Strategic Pricing Intern will support pricing and contracting strategy across Genmab’s US portfolio, helping advance the team’s work to demonstrate the value of Genmab’s medicines to payers, providers, and patients. Part of US Market Access, Strategic Pricing collaborates with colleagues across Market Access, Finance, Public Affairs & Policy, Global Market Access, and Legal to inform pricing decisions, develop payer and provider contracts, manage gross-to-net performance, and assess the business implications of federal and state policy developments.

What you’ll do

The intern will contribute to a variety of projects and day-to-day activities, which may include:

  • Building and testing pricing and contracting scenario models in Excel.
  • Analyzing rebate performance and gross-to-net drivers, including the impact of rebates, discounts, and other deductions on net revenue.
  • Researching competitor pricing and contracting dynamics.
  • Supporting analyses of federal and state pricing policies, including the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), Medicaid, 340B, and price transparency requirements.
  • Gathering and summarizing data, conducting literature and policy research, and preparing slides and materials for team meetings, internal governance, and leadership discussions.
  • The intern will work with the team to define summer objectives and present key findings and recommendations at the end of the internship.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Health Policy, Public Health, or a related field
  • Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Excel and familiarity with PowerPoint
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and navigate ambiguous or open-ended questions
  • No prior pharmaceutical experience required; curiosity about how medicines are priced and paid for in the U.S. is essential

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Coursework in health economics, health policy, pharmaceutical economics, or corporate finance.
  • Prior internship or project experience in life sciences, healthcare consulting, a payer or PBM, or healthcare-focused investment research.
  • Basic familiarity with how US drugs are reimbursed, such as the difference between pharmacy-benefit and medical-benefit drugs, or gross-to-net concepts like rebates and discounts.
  • Awareness of current drug pricing policy debates, such as the Inflation Reduction Act, Medicaid rebates, 340B, or most-favored-nation pricing.

General Intern Information – Date/Location/Schedule

Internships will take place over 10 weeks from June – August 2027. This role will be based in Princeton, NJ and operate on a required hybrid schedule – 3 days in the office and 2 days remote per week.
