Job Overview
Impact Advisors is seeking a dynamic and experienced Revenue Integrity Managing Consultant to serve as a strategic advisor to client Revenue Integrity leadership during a full Epic implementation. Revenue Integrity is a critical backbone of any Epic implementation, and in this role you will partner with the client’s Revenue Integrity leader to ensure timely, informed decisions are made to support the implementation team. The ideal candidate is a proven Revenue Integrity leader, at the director level or above, with deep Epic knowledge gained by leading an IT group or serving as a critical operational partner during an Epic implementation. Weekly nationwide travel is required.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic partner to the client’s Revenue Integrity leader, providing guidance that enables timely, informed decisions throughout the Epic implementation.
- Guide charge capture and Charge Data Master (CDM) design decisions, ensuring alignment with operational needs and government and third-party payer requirements.
- Partner with Information Services and the Epic implementation team to align operational requirements with charging build, including charge triggers, interface charging, and third-party charging systems.
- Oversee readiness of charging workflows and charge reconciliation processes leading into go-live, and support Revenue Integrity through go-live and stabilization.
- Help client leadership anticipate the downstream revenue impact of build and workflow decisions, escalating risks and communicating impacts to Revenue Cycle leadership.
- Leverage Epic revenue cycle functionality, including claim rules and edits, to support clean claim rates, reduce denials, and improve cash collections.
- Use data and reports to perform root cause analysis and identify opportunities to strengthen organizational revenue integrity.
- Bring Operational Excellence best practices to the client and foster a trusted advisor relationship with client leadership and the Impact Advisors team.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in healthcare operations related to revenue integrity, coding, finance, revenue cycle management, patient accounting, and/or physician billing.
- Experience leading Revenue Integrity operations at the director level or above.
- Experience leading an Epic revenue cycle IT group or serving as a critical operational partner during an Epic implementation.
- Proven ability to serve as a trusted advisor to senior healthcare leaders and drive timely decisions in a complex implementation environment.
- Full understanding of charge capture and charge reconciliation processes, including the electronic health record charge links to the CDM.
- Experience partnering with Epic IT to design, validate, and implement charging workflow changes.
- Healthcare consulting experience preferred.
- Epic Charging certification preferred; Resolute HB or SBO certification a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Ability to travel weekly nationwide.

For salaried positions, this role may also be eligible for an annual performance bonus. Additional benefits and perks may also be available, depending on the position and employment terms.
