About Redtree Redtree Engineering specializes in engineering, project management, and construction support services across mission-critical facilities, power systems, industrial projects, and complex infrastructure. Redtree offers 100% remote work for this role. As a growing engineering firm, we've built our team around flexibility from day one, giving engineers the ability to do serious, high-impact power generation design work from anywhere in the U.S., without relocating or commuting to an office. Position Summary Redtree Engineering is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to support structural analysis, design, and engineering development activities for industrial facilities, power generation projects, energy infrastructure, data centers, and heavy industrial applications. We are primarily seeking mid-level engineers with 5-10 years of experience, although highly qualified candidates above this level are encouraged to apply. This role is heavily focused on hands-on structural engineering, analysis, calculations, and design execution rather than project administration. The ideal candidate will have experience designing structural steel, reinforced concrete, foundations, and industrial support structures in industries such as oil & gas, power generation, petrochemical, mining, manufacturing, energy infrastructure, or similar heavy industrial environments. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing engineering organization and help expand Redtree's in-house structural engineering capabilities while working 100% remote. You Will... Perform structural analysis and design of steel, reinforced concrete, foundation, and support structures for industrial and energy-related facilities. Develop structural calculations, design packages, engineering reports, specifications, and construction documents. Design structural systems supporting industrial equipment, process facilities, power generation equipment, and related infrastructure. Review and apply building codes, design standards, and client requirements to engineering solutions. Prepare and review structural plans, drawings, calculations, and technical reports. Coordinate with civil, mechanical, electrical, controls, and project management teams throughout project execution. Conduct field investigations, site visits, condition assessments, and construction support activities as required. Support equipment foundation design, structural rehabilitation, and infrastructure improvement projects. Assist with project scoping, budgeting, scheduling, and engineering estimates. Participate in quality reviews, constructability reviews, and technical evaluations. Support proposal development and technical scope definition for new project opportunities. Provide engineering support during procurement, construction, startup, and commissioning phases. If You... Hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Structural emphasis) or Structural Engineering. Have 5-10 years of structural engineering experience, preferably in industrial, energy, manufacturing, oil & gas, mining, petrochemical, or power generation environments. Have demonstrated experience performing structural analysis and design rather than primarily administrative or project management responsibilities. Possess strong experience designing structural steel, reinforced concrete structures, foundations, and equipment support systems. Have experience using structural analysis software such as STAAD Pro, RISA, SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, RAM, or similar platforms. Demonstrate knowledge of applicable design codes including IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI 318, and related industry standards. Possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Can work effectively both independently and within multidisciplinary engineering teams. Are detail-oriented, technically focused, and committed to delivering high-quality engineering solutions. Must be able to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future. Preferred Qualifications Professional Engineer (PE) license. Master's Degree in Structural Engineering. Experience designing machine foundations, turbine foundations, compressor foundations, generator foundations, or other dynamically loaded structures. Experience performing dynamic analysis, vibration analysis, or foundation design for rotating equipment. Exposure to transmission line structures, substations, utility infrastructure, or related power delivery systems. Knowledge of OSHA and industrial facility safety requirements. Prior experience working remotely or within distributed engineering teams. What Redtree Offers 100% remote work, U.S.-based, with no relocation or office requirement. 100% employer-sponsored benefits. Direct exposure to the full project lifecycle, from concept through construction and commissioning. The opportunity to help build and expand Redtree's structural engineering practice. A growing, entrepreneurial engineering team partnering with industry-leading clients on energy, industrial, and mission-critical infrastructure projects. The ability to work alongside experienced technical leaders and contribute to high-impact projects across multiple industries. Work Authorization: Must be able to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
