  • Assist with project planning, design analysis, engineering calculations, specification development, and technical problem-solving.
  • Support business development and marketing efforts to establish relationships and obtain new clients.
  • Maintain accurate project records, provide regular updates on project schedules and budgets, and complete required administrative tasks.
  • Maintain professional credentials and continuing education requirements.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET/EAC-accredited four-year program or an equivalent non-American four-year degree, subject to review.
  • Relevant professional experience based on education:
  • 9+ years with an ABET/EAC-accredited bachelor’s degree and a two-year master’s degree in civil, structural, or architectural engineering.
  • 10+ years with an ABET/EAC-accredited bachelor’s degree in civil, structural, or architectural engineering.
  • 12+ years with a non-American four-year degree, including at least two years of experience in the United States and fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Experience with civil and structural engineering design and analysis, including foundations, buildings, and other structures.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, frame analysis software such as RISA, and component analysis and design software such as L-Pile, ENERCALC, or PCA MATS.
  • Experience developing technical specifications, performing construction observations, and preparing engineering documents for clients.
  • Ability to review engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports prepared by other engineers or designers.
  • Familiarity with federal UFC, DoD, and VA criteria, or the ability to learn and apply these standards.
  • Strong technical, analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Experience training and mentoring staff, coordinating project teams, and supporting project leadership.
  • Interest in business development and building client relationships.
  • Successful completion of the FE and PE exams administered by NCEES, professional engineering licensure in the United States, and an active NCEES record.
