We’re seeking a motivated Structural Engineer to support the design, analysis, detailing, and quality assurance of diverse building projects. The ideal candidate has foundational experience in structural engineering and works well in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment to help ensure structural designs meet quality standards, applicable codes, and client expectations. This is a US based remote position. Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000 annually Essential Duties & Responsibilities The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties, but not all duties performed for this position. Other duties may be assigned. • Assist in the structural design, analysis, and modeling of building systems using industry-standard software and tools • Support the development of structural systems including foundations, steel, concrete, masonry, and wood framing • Prepare structural calculations, drawings, and specifications under the direction of senior engineers • Participate in field inspections, job site visits, and inspection reports on a periodic basis as needed • Coordinate with architects, engineers, designers, and internal departments to support structural feasibility, constructability, and compliance with building codes and regulatory requirements • Support quality control reviews of structural documents and calculations • Maintain effective communication with project teams to meet project schedules and deliverables • Assist with proposal development, scope definition, and technical support as needed Minimum Qualifications: To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering • Engineering in Training (EIT) certification preferred • 3–6 years of experience in structural engineering design for building projects • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., RAM, RISA, ETABS, SAP2000, or similar) • Working knowledge of structural design principles, materials, and construction methods • Familiarity with applicable building codes and standards • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Effective written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams Additional Qualifying Factors: As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening (post accepted offer) and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations. Necessary Physical Requirements: The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. This position requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunity to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds. If required, must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times including but not limited to: hard hats, steel toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection. Must always maintain a constant state of mental alertness. Working Conditions Job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and loud noise.
