Structural Engineer (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

• Conceptual design and sizing of satellite structures, including definition of structural concepts, load conditions, feasibility assessments, and identification of critical areas
• Responsibility for structural specifications and support of systems engineering through load derivations and high level analyses at system and subsystem level
• Execution, verification, and assessment of structural analyses, including model creation, cost benefit evaluations, and optimization of structural designs
• Definition, planning, and technical execution of structural tests in cooperation with AIT, including test predictions, result evaluation, and documentation
• Technical leadership of a team of structural analysts and technical coordination and control of subcontractors in alignment with project and subcontract management
• Support of project management, review processes, bids, and technical studies, as well as maintenance of structural documentation and contribution to departmental processes, tools, and technologies

Your Qualifications

• University degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a comparable technical qualification
• Strong understanding of structural mechanics with experience in dynamic, static, acoustic, and/or thermo elastic analyses
• Experience in systems engineering and confident use of software tools for structural analysis and system modeling
• Excellent communication skills, strong willingness to collaborate, and a well structured and organized working style
• Leadership capability with experience in the technical supervision of structural analysts
• Results and cost oriented mindset, confident and professional demeanor, and willingness to travel regularly to customers and suppliers
