About Us We are the applied AI community in Lebanon. We want to enable everyone to have access to the tools and knowledge to apply Artificial Intelligence! Our mission is to help local startups, companies and individuals understand AI and apply it in various industries. We do this through our Membership Program by organizing different types of events to cater for our diverse community. Our events include the MENA AI Festival part of the Global AI Festival hosted by City AI which gathers AI enthusiasts and speakers from all around the MENA region, Intro to AI workshops that introduce participants to the basics of AI. We also host the Beirut AI Bootcamp that empower our audience to take a deeper dive into the field with intensive technical sessions and Hackathons that challenge participants to build innovative AI-based solutions to real-world problems. Job Description This is a remote position. The Student Ambassador’s role is to establish a strong communication link between students and Beirut AI . This will help us serve our members in a more efficient way, tailored to their needs. One specific duty of a Student Ambassador is to organize Artificial intelligence workshops at their university campus. As a Student Ambassador you should be passionate about Artificial Intelligence, and Technology in general, in order to raise awareness about AI and help us reach more people to Beirut AI events. Location: Remote Start Date: Immediate Terms of Hire: At least 12 months Responsibilities and duties Gather feedback from students on executed Beirut AI events Encourage students to become active Beirut AI members and contribute to the community Prepare a university workshop at least 2 times per year Communicate students requests, complaints, or remarks Gather feedback from students on executed Beirut AI events Oversee all aspects of university workshops Set deadlines, assign responsibilities and monitor progress of projects Prepare reports for the Community & PR manager regarding feedback of the workshop and how Beirut AI can improve this kind of workshop Coordinate with other Beirut AI team members to ensure success of university workshops/events Collaborate with specific clubs/departments to host workshops/events Host a talk or seminar with interested students to help them understand more about AI Collaborate in the AI wiki data collection for AI companies and speakers in the region Map the AI ecosystem in our region​ Requirements Qualifications Experience required: 0 to 1 years Currently involved in a university program Strong interpersonal skills as well as a solid team spirit and a positive mentality which promotes enthusiasm Ability to multitask, adapt, and learn in a fast paced environment We are looking for an individual who Is available to work for a duration of 12 months (with probability of extension) Has the drive to learn and self-improve Have a good relationship with students Has a good time management skills and ability to work with deadlines Is a great team player, but also able to work on projects autonomously Is intrigued about the artificial intelligence topic Is keen on sharing knowledge and getting things done Benefits Why Beirut AI?
