Student Ambassador - Spring 2027

What is a Student Ambassador?

The CFSI Student Ambassador Program provides a paid leadership opportunity for undergraduate students, particularly alumni of the program, while bolstering recruitment efforts at our partner colleges/universities. Ambassadors work to engage students, faculty, and staff at their home campuses. They increase program visibility on campus and leverage their knowledge/experiences with the program.

This is a temporary independent contractor project contracted for one semester at a time, with the opportunity for renewal. The position is flexible and remote, and can be tailored to your schedule.

Compensation and Benefits:

You will get....

• Extra spending $$$. We pay $16.50 an hour, with an increase to $18.00 for your second semester, and $19.50 for your third and beyond.
• Professional growth. This includes public speaking, project management, mentorship, and time management.
• Experience in recruitment/sales.
• Experience managing multiple projects independently and collaboratively — a skill transferable to most jobs you’ll be applying for after graduation.

Key Responsibilities:

We recognize that every campus is different and thus, responsibilities vary. As a Semester in the City Ambassador, your work may include:

• Developing and implementing a strategy and work plan for on-campus recruitment
• Using your existing connections on campus and networking skills to build and strengthen relationships with faculty/staff and student organizations
• Sending out regular communications via email to key faculty, staff, and prospective students
• Delivering presentations to inform students about the program and its benefits.
• Leveraging your social media presence and network to get students engaged with the CFSI brand
• Most importantly, aid in recruiting and achieving campus enrollment goals through activities like):
  • Coordinating and delivering class visit presentations
  • Meeting with prospective students to talk about your experience and sharing information about deadlines and the application process
  • Supporting the Recruitment Team with information sessions, Open House, and other recruitment events (Career Fairs, Study Abroad Fairs etc.)
  • Hosting tabling events on campus

What we’re looking for:

The ideal candidate will be an independent, driven, and strategic student leader who can analyze their campus environment and identify the most effective ways to reach prospective students. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing their own outreach strategy, leveraging their campus connections and communication skills. They should be comfortable working autonomously, identifying opportunities, and executing plans to meet campus enrollment goals.
