Company Description Original Performing Arts Center Kenya is a creative research and performance organization focused on connecting social issues with community engagement. The organization uses artistic expression, education, and awareness initiatives to address community challenges and inspire dialogue. Through community development performances, it works to sensitize audiences on key social topics and encourage positive change. Interns have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that blend the performing arts with social impact in diverse communities.

Role Description This is a hybrid student unpaid-internship role designed for individuals interested in performing arts, social impact, and community-based projects. Interns will support the development of creative concepts, assist in research on social issues, and contribute to scripting, planning, or documenting performance-based initiatives. Day-to-day tasks may include coordinating online meetings, preparing materials for community engagement activities, organizing digital content, and providing administrative support to project leads. Interns may also help manage social media updates, track project timelines, and participate in virtual discussions with partners and community stakeholders. The internship offers hands-on experience in integrating arts, research, and community development within a collaborative environment. The internship runs for 3 months.

• Interest in performing arts, creative expression, or community-focused storytelling.
• Ability to conduct basic research on social issues and summarize findings clearly.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Organizational skills, including time management and attention to detail.
• Comfort with remote collaboration tools (e.g., email, video conferencing, shared documents).
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow through on assigned tasks.
• Respectful, inclusive mindset and sensitivity to diverse communities and cultures.
• Current student or recent graduate in fields such as performing arts, social sciences, communications, or related disciplines will be considered.
