Show job description

Vattenfall is a European energy company with approximately 21 000 employees. For more than 100 years we have electrified industries, supplied energy to people’s homes and modernized our way of living through innovation and cooperation. We are looking for talented individuals who, in addition to their passion for their own role, also have strong team spirit and want to contribute to supporting a meaningful corporate mission.

Can you turn complex data into decisions that shape the future of offshore wind?

At Vattenfall, there is a way. A way to accelerate the energy transition through innovation, collaboration and smart decision-making. As a Wind Farm System Designer, you will help define the design and value of some of Europe's largest offshore wind projects, influencing investment decisions worth billions of euros and contributing directly to a more sustainable energy system.

Business Area Wind

Within Business Area Wind, we develop, build and operate wind farms both onshore and offshore to accelerate the growth of renewable energy. We bring together international expertise, technological innovation and operational excellence to deliver world-class energy projects that support the transition to a more sustainable future.

Our System Design team combines engineering, economics, costing, sustainability and data science competencies. Investigating innovative technologies, regulatory framework, cost and price projections, we identify opportunities across Vattenfall's offshore wind portfolio from early stage of wind farm development to repowering.

  • Contribute to LEC improvement work by helping structure ideas, track progress, and translate technical or commercial concepts into clear material for further evaluation.

Offshore Intelligence & Insights

  • Support the preparation of independent offshore intelligence reports by collecting, structuring, and analysing information on market trends, cost drivers, and value-engineering opportunities across the offshore wind lifecycle.
  • Assist with deep-dive consulting analyses by preparing datasets, building simple models or summaries, and turning findings into clear presentations or decision-support material.
