MIRA MIRA STUDIOS is a private self-portrait studio in Alexandria, Sydney, where clients take their own professional studio photos using a remote control and a camera hidden behind a mirror.

With no photographer in the room, clients have complete privacy and freedom to photograph themselves at their own pace. We welcome individuals, families, founders and professionals, with professional-quality images delivered digitally after the session.

We are a small, growing business focused on exceptional customer experience, attention to detail and making professional photography feel easy and comfortable.

Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Studio Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day running of MIRA MIRA STUDIOS.

The role will begin at approximately 10 hours per week on a casual basis, with the opportunity to move into a permanent part-time position after a successful three-month period.

Around half of the hours will be based at our Alexandria studio, with the remaining work completed remotely where appropriate.

Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing the day-to-day running of the studio
• Making sure the studio is clean, organised, fully stocked and ready for clients
• Monitoring equipment, computers, storage and photo delivery systems
• Managing client enquiries across email, phone and social media, including follow-ups and sales
• Coordinating Studio Admins, including shifts, training, onboarding and recruitment when required
• Maintaining studio standards and making sure tasks are completed properly
• Managing studio supplies, newsletters and customer communications
• Supporting partnerships, influencers and important studio visitors
• Occasionally stepping into a client-facing Studio Admin role when needed
• Solving operational issues before they need to reach the founder

Qualifications

• Experience managing day-to-day operations, people or a small business environment
• Extremely reliable, responsible and organised
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership
• Calm and resourceful when something goes wrong
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Customer-focused and confident with sales and follow-up
• Comfortable using technology and learning new systems
• Familiar with Instagram and modern social media
• A good visual eye and an understanding of what feels polished and considered
• Based within easy travelling distance of Alexandria

Photography experience is not required. Training on our studio equipment and systems will be provided.
