Position Summary : Individual will work in a team performing functional, relay and SCADA testing in utility level substations. Equipment acceptance testing, Relay and protection scheme testing, SCADA system testing, troubleshooting and problem solving issues as they arise. Equipment inspections at vendors facilities. Individual will have strong communication skills. Applicant will need to be able to clearly converse both written, oral and via email with various other team members to resolve issues Ability to professionally represent the Company with clients, owners, vendors and subcontractors Push issues to resolution Self motivated Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills Excellent ability to understand technical drawings & ability to understand specifications Capability and inclination to research and self-teach unfamiliar subject matter Perform switching and grounding in energized substations The successful candidate will have the following Skills/Experience/Abilities: Experience (3-5 years) working in or preferably testing substation equipment. Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (NFPA, IEEE, NETA, etc.) Understanding of applicable testing for equipment types noted above. Strong computer skills in MS Office, SEL, TapTalk, Doble, RTS, Adobe and others as needed Requirements: Minimum Associate's degree in Electrical Technology/Engineering preferred or equivalent experience in industry (5+ years). Travel: 75% average Clean driving record Work in challenging ambient conditions including outdoors, hot and cold temperatures and loud noises Must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials up to 60 lbs. Must be able to work in elevated positions. May be exposed to energized equipment.
