Gain hands on experience and put your learning into practice.
Learn alongside experienced professionals and develop skills for your future career.
Opportunities to gain experience in insurance Operations or Capability and Learning.
Partners Life is one of New Zealand’s largest life and health insurance companies. As part of the Daiichi Life Group, a leading global insurance provider, we are writing our next chapter of growth and opportunity.
Our work is about people - those who rely on us and those who help make it all happen. You do not need insurance or financial services knowledge to get started. Come behind the scenes and discover career possibilities.
About our intern opportunities
You do not need to have your whole career mapped out to take your next step. An internship is a chance to try something new, discover what you enjoy and build skills you can take with you. We currently have three internship opportunities, two in Operations across Claims and Service Enablement, and one in People and Culture supporting Capability and Learning.
Operations - Claims and Service Enablement
Discover how our teams support customers and help the business run smoothly. Build your understanding of day to day operations, see how teams work together and learn how processes shape the service we deliver. Along the way, develop practical communication, organisation, problem solving skills, and get a feel for a career in operations.
People and Culture - Capability and Learning
Interested in how people learn and grow at work? Join our People and Culture team to support Capability and Learning. Contribute to work that supports people’s development, build your coordination and communication skills, and explore what a career in workplace learning and development could look like.
Internship details:
Timing: Starting mid to late November 2026 and finishing in late January or early February 2027
Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week (flexibility to discuss reduced hours)
Remuneration: Paid at the New Zealand Living Wage
Applications close: 9 November 2026
About you
You are currently studying towards a degree or diploma in commerce/business, economics, human resource or other relevant discipline. You are in your second or final year and are keen to gain practical experience and get a head start on your future career. You do not need a long CV or relevant professional experience. We are interested in your curious mindset, willingness to learn and what you would like to get out of the experience. Perhaps you enjoy understanding how things work, helping others or finding a better way to do something.
Your examples do not have to come from an office job. Study projects, casual work, volunteering and community involvement all give you something to bring to the team.
What we offer

Practical experience: Put your learning into practice in a business environment.

Professional connections: Connect with professionals with different skills, backgrounds and career journeys.
