Conduct root cause analysis on issues affecting supplier compliance to determine if process changes, analytics measuring adjustments or other steps should be taken to improve the overall supplier compliance program. Act as a liaison between suppliers and the Purchasing and Parts teams when issues arise causing operational delays such as supplier non-responsiveness to requests for quotes and order information. Assist Purchasing with the re-sourcing efforts for backordered and past due items by meeting with key supplier contacts who can drive performance of their internal teams to improve lead times and responsiveness to SDI Purchasing agents. Assist Purchasing with match exception process escalations to ensure supplier responsiveness in resolving issues. Maintain effective cross-functional communications via regular daily, weekly, monthly meetings, calls and e-mail. Identify and coordinate implementation of continuous improvement opportunities for department. Some holiday and weekend coverage will be required throughout the year. Strong systems acumen; knowledge of Peoplesoft ERP software and MS Office software preferred. Who are we? At SDI, we’re proud to help essential organizations across North America compete more effectively in a challenging global marketplace – and keep our economy moving. We do this by thinking differently, questioning conventional wisdom, and constantly challenging the status quo. We’re evolving the way leading manufacturers, multi-site retailers, and higher education think about their maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) strategies – the critical supply chain of parts, materials, equipment, and consumables necessary to keep plants and facilities operating safely and productively. Every day, we help companies eliminate waste, minimize risk exposure, and stay competitive on an ever-changing world stage. Why work for SDI?
