Flexibility in hours are allowed as long as the hours are between 7:00am-5:00pm. The Team: The Supplier Development team is responsible for qualifying, partnering with, assessing, and, when necessary, remediating the quality performance of RiverSide suppliers. The team is accountable to ensure that the components or assemblies that we receive meet the requirements of both RiverSide and our customers, and to position other RiverSide teams to be able to be successful in their activities. The Role: The Supplier Product Quality Specialist is an integral part of the Supplier Development Team. This role is responsible for managing purchased part quality, from the definition of part qualification requirements for new components and revisions, to assessment of supplier submissions, to definition of on-site inspection requirements, to holding supplier accountable when purchased parts do not meet requirements. You will communicate with multiple departments and outside stakeholders, resolve issues, and monitor trends, and will be able to handle material directly, as needed. You will spend your time: Receiving customer defined requirements for purchased components (Quality, compliance, etc) from internal stakeholders and ensuring their completion Setting purchased part qualification and inspection requirements Assessing purchased part qualification documents from suppliers Communicating with internal and external stakeholders concerning purchased product qualification and non-conforming material Ensuring that any compliance or safety-agency requirements for components are defined, completed, recorded, and reported appropriately Coordinating any purchased product quality related visits with suppliers Participating in, and potentially leading, multi-department meetings on non-conforming material resolution Managing the Supplier Corrective Action Request process Collaborating on process improvement activities and corrective actions Assisting with, and potentially leading, supplier qualification audits Reporting on pre-defined metrics Creating new metrics to ensure team success to business objectives Cross-training for departmental backup activity Mentoring other members of the team as needed Assisting with maintenance of applicable Agency or compliance information for received product Assisting with inspecting new components or revised products for conformity to prints Assisting with specialized inventory processes such as rework/sorts/tear-downs Performing other duties as needed Qualifications We are excited about you if you have: A minimum of 3 years product quality or inspection related experience Prior experience reading prints and specifications Knowledge of ERP inventory management/control processes Excel, Word, Access and Outlook experience Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Strong analytical, communication, risk-assessment, decision making, and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and accuracy Microsoft Office software knowledge (Excel, Word, Outlook) Travel: This position may travel between the RiverSide Lewiston and Winona facilities. This position will be expected to travel to supplier locations, as needed Infrequent travel for trainings and/or business needs may be required.
