Want to do more than maintain an existing quality system?
H-Power is developing hydrogen technologies that are designed to change how businesses generate and access cleaner energy. With new products moving towards commercial deployment, the business is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to help shape how supplier quality is managed.
This is an opportunity to make a genuine difference in a growing engineering business, where your ideas, decisions and improvements will have a direct impact.
What makes this role interesting?
You'll have ownership of supplier quality across a varied supply chain, covering mechanical, electrical and specialist engineered components.
Working closely with Engineering, Procurement and Production, you'll investigate supplier issues, get to the root of problems and make sure corrective actions actually work.
You'll also play an important part in assessing new suppliers, conducting audits and developing the quality processes needed as the business scales.
There's plenty of scope to introduce improvements rather than simply follow established procedures, with opportunities to visit suppliers in the UK and internationally.
What experience will you need?
We're looking for someone with hands-on supplier quality experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
You'll need a practical understanding of non-conformances, root cause analysis, corrective actions and supplier audits, alongside experience working with ISO 9001.
More importantly, you'll be confident dealing directly with suppliers, challenging problems constructively and taking responsibility for seeing things through.
Experience in hydrogen, energy or low-volume manufacturing would be useful, but isn't essential.
What's on offer?
Competitive salary, dependent on experience
Bonus
Hybrid working – 4 days on-site, 1 from home
Private medical insurance
5% employer pension contribution
25 days' holiday plus bank holidays
Company share option scheme, subject to approval
