The impact you’ll make
As a Supplier MRB Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer at Lam, you will represent the SET (Supplier Engineering & Technology) organization as a member of the cross-functional Material Review Board (MRB) team. You will be responsible for effectively managing supplier-related nonconforming quality issues that affect factory operations.
This role offers broad technical exposure across supplier commodities and manufacturing processes, including machining, molding, stamping, PCB assembly, electronics, coatings and etc.
Through sound technical judgment, clear communication, and a solutions-focused mindset, you will help safeguard product quality, maintain operational continuity, and support on-time customer fulfillment.
What you’ll do
- Manage supplier-related nonconforming quality issues affecting factory operations in accordance with the MRB process.
- Participate in daily MRB activities and facilitate reviews with supplier engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure timely dispositions.
- Initiate immediate containment action plans and provide timely updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Drive the closure of overdue MRB records through proactive stakeholder follow-up and timely escalation.
- Facilitate alignment when disagreements arise regarding disposition ownership or supplier responsibility.
- Monitor MRB aging, overdue actions, closure performance, and process bottlenecks.
- Coordinate technical investigations, supplier rework activities, and inspections while maintaining stakeholder alignment.
- Analyze recurring defects and open dispositions, and collaborate with stakeholders to implement corrective actions.

Develop and implement process improvements to enhance MRB efficiency and reduce nonconformances.

Lead and manage key cross-functional initiatives while engaging stakeholders across multiple organizational levels.
Who we’re looking for
- A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Science, or a related discipline, or an equivalent qualification.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, supplier engineering, operations, quality assurance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in manufacturing quality, MRB operations, nonconformance management, supplier quality, or a related environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to leverage data to influence decisions and drive stakeholder alignment.
- Ability to prioritize multiple issues and drive timely resolution in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to lead effective meetings focused on clear problem statements, measurable outcomes, and conflict resolution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in statistical analysis, 8D methodology, and Lean Six Sigma tools.
Preferred qualifications

Practical knowledge of one or more manufacturing processes, such as machining, molding, stamping, PCB assembly, electronics, welding, casting, plating, or coatings.

Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems using structured, data-driven methods.

Ability to interpret engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and material specifications.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
