Supply Chain Analyst
£35,500 to £38,500 plus great benefits (Work Level 6A)
5 over 7 days working pattern, with up to 26 weekend working days per year
Manchester city centre - in this role you’ll work in a hybrid way splitting your time between home and the office two days per week (find out more about our hybrid working policy at https://jobs.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy).
We have both permanent and fixed-term opportunities available within the team.
We're looking for Supply Chain Analysts to join our Supply Chain Services team. Our analysts work across a range of areas, and depending on business needs, you'll join either our Store Planning team, supporting new store launches and stabilisation, or our Optimisation team, providing operational expertise and helping resolve store issues. In either role, you'll use data, insight and strong relationships to improve store performance, availability and customer experience.
Why this role matters
As a Supply Chain Analyst, you'll help deliver meaningful action, supporting initiatives that improve product availability, reduce waste and drive profitable sales. It's a role where you'll see the impact of your work first-hand, building relationships across the business, influencing decisions and helping us continually improve how we serve our stores and communities. If you enjoy combining analysis, collaboration and problem-solving, this is an opportunity to make a real difference while developing your career in a business that puts people at the heart of what it does.
What you’ll do
• Analyse store performance, availability, replenishment and operational data to identify trends, issues and opportunities, turning insight into recommendations that improve availability, reduce waste and increase efficiency
• Investigate and resolve supply chain, systems and process issues, managing store queries and escalations to minimise operational disruption
• Provide operational support to stores, managing queries and escalations and ensuring issues are resolved in a timely manner
• Work closely with Supply Chain, Retail Operations, Property and Logistics teams to troubleshoot problems, deliver effective solutions and support profitable sales in stores
• Support new store openings and refits, ensuring systems, data and processes are set up accurately for successful launches
• Identify recurring themes and emerging risks, escalating significant issues and recommending preventative actions where needed
• Use SAP and other business systems to analyse data, maintain accurate information and support informed decision-making (don’t worry if you don’t have SAP experience, you'll be able to learn on the job)
• Contribute to reporting, performance reviews and communications, helping stakeholders understand key issues, actions and opportunities
What you’ll bring
We’re committed to making our roles as accessible as possible, so we only ask for the minimum criteria. To thrive here, you’ll need to bring:
• Confidence working with data, with the ability to spot trends, draw insights and turn them into meaningful action
• The ability to quickly learn new systems and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including experience using formulas, VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
• Excellent relationship-building and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams
• A flexible and adaptable approach, with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage changing priorities
Why Co-op?
At Co-op, we’re owned by our members. And because we’re owned by you, we can do right by you. So when you join us, you’re not just taking a job, you’re joining a movement. We’re an organisation that puts people and communities first, and we’re powered by purpose. We want this to be a place where you can thrive, so you’ll also receive:
• An annual bonus (based on personal and business performance)
• 28 days holiday (rising to 32 with service) plus bank holidays
• A pension with up to 10% employer contributions
• Access to a subsidised onsite gym (at our Manchester HQ)
• 30% discount on Co-op products and 10% off other brands
• Stream – early access to a percentage of your pay as you earn it
• Virtual healthcare including GP appointments, mental health support, nutrition and fitness advice
• 24/7 colleague support service
• Training and support for your development and career progression
• Cycle-to-work scheme
