Supply Chain IT Functional Analyst

MEOGROUP - Functional Analyst – Supply Chain / ERP / Logistics

1. Context of the mission

Our client is currently implementing a major Supply Chain Transformation Program and is looking for a Functional Analyst to support the Program Manager.

The role will focus on analyzing business processes, gathering and documenting requirements, and translating them into functional designs for ERP and logistics systems. The Functional Analyst will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, developers, integration specialists, testers, and other analysts to ensure the successful delivery of end-to-end Supply Chain solutions.

The consultant will contribute to the functional alignment of the different stakeholders and help ensure that the proposed solutions meet both business and operational requirements.

2. Mission period

• Start date: ASAP
• Initial duration: 12 months
• Extension: Possible, depending on project evolution

3. Languages

• English: Fluent, mandatory
• Dutch : Fluent
• The consultant must be able to operate effectively in an international and multilingual business environment.

4. Work location

• Hybrid assignment in the Brussels area
• Approximately 2 days per week onsite
• Approximately 3 days per week remote

5. Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
• Equivalent professional experience may also be considered

6. Required knowledge and experience

Preferable

• Experience facilitating workshops
• Ability to challenge business requirements and propose improvements
• Experience working in large and complex transformation programs
• Strong stakeholder-management skills

Business experience

Mandatory

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a Functional Analyst in Supply Chain, ERP, logistics, or a related environment
• Proven experience with end-to-end Supply Chain processes, including:
• Procurement
• Warehousing
• Inventory management
• Order management
• Logistics
• Experience participating in ERP or logistics system implementation and/or integration projects
• Experience working at the interface between business teams and IT departments
• Experience in documenting business requirements and translating them into actionable functional specifications

Preferable

• Experience in a multi-site Supply Chain environment
• Experience in cross-functional and international organizations
• Experience in retail, distribution, manufacturing, or another complex operational environment
• Experience supporting business process harmonization or standardization

Functional experience

Mandatory

• Requirements gathering and analysis
• Business process mapping and documentation
• Writing functional specifications
• Translating Supply Chain processes into ERP or logistics system functionalities
• Supporting solution design and gap analysis
• Supporting functional validation and business acceptance
• Collaboration with developers, integration specialists, and testers
• Coordination of functional testing, including:
• SIT
• UAT
• Test scenario preparation
• Defect follow-up
• Test result reporting
• Ability to identify dependencies, risks, and impacts across end-to-end processes

Preferable

• Functional knowledge of SAP modules such as
• Experience with logistics systems such as: TMS/ WMS
• Knowledge of Supply Chain master data flows and dependencies
• Experience with process improvement and operational performance initiatives
• Experience in business readiness, training, or change-impact analysis

Technical experience

Mandatory

• Understanding of ERP architecture, preferably SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA
• Familiarity with interface concepts, including:
• IDocs
• APIs
• Flat files
• Web services
• Ability to read and understand basic data models
• Understanding of system-to-system data flows
• Experience documenting functional and technical integration requirements
• Ability to work effectively with technical teams during design, development, testing, and deployment phases

Preferable

• Basic SQL knowledge for data validation and troubleshooting
• Exposure to dashboards and reporting tools such as Power BI
• Understanding of warehouse automation technologies
• Knowledge of IoT devices or other logistics technologies
• Experience with data migration, data quality, or master data validation

7. Objective of the assignment

The objective of the assignment is to support the successful delivery of Supply Chain transformation initiatives by providing high-quality functional analysis, clear documentation, and thorough validation of ERP and logistics system integrations.

The Functional Analyst will help ensure:

• Alignment between business needs and IT solutions
• Consistency across end-to-end Supply Chain processes
• Effective collaboration between business and technical stakeholders
• Quality and completeness of functional requirements
• Smooth execution of SIT and UAT activities
• Robust and efficient future Supply Chain operations

9. Candidate profile

The ideal candidate is a pragmatic and structured Functional Analyst with a solid understanding of Supply Chain processes and ERP environments. The candidate is comfortable working with both business and technical stakeholders and is able to translate operational needs into clear, implementable system requirements.
