Supply Chain Lead – Fabless Semiconductor

TUSK IC is a fabless millimeter-wave (mmWave) IC design company based in Antwerp, Belgium. Founded in 2018 as a KU Leuven spin-off, we’ve built a strong reputation for solving the toughest RF and semiconductor challenges in automotive, industrial, and communications markets.

We’re now entering a new and pivotal phase: developing our own product line of Ka-band chips and modules for Satellite Communications. Our focus is on next-generation user terminals for global satellite connectivity — a market on the verge of explosive growth. “New Space” is fuelling a wide range of business and investment opportunities, with communications emerging as the biggest growth market, and at the heart of strategic autonomy discussions.

At TUSK IC, we believe in technical excellence and customer impact. We build trust through results. If you want to be part of a team where ambition and execution go hand in hand, you’ll feel at home!

Job Description

Build and scale the semiconductor supply chain behind next-generation satellite communication technology.

We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Lead with a background in semiconductor manufacturing to help take our products from early (prototype) development to reliable, high-volume production.

You will build and manage relationships with external manufacturing partners, including foundries, packaging- and testing suppliers, while working closely with Product Engineering and other teams. Your focus will be on securing the right partners, ensuring manufacturing capacity and readiness, managing supply-chain risks, and building the processes needed to support our growth.

This is a hands-on role in a developing company, where you will have the opportunity to shape the supply chain rather than simply manage an established operation.

Education & Experience

  • Significant experience in supply chain, operations, or manufacturing within a fabless semiconductor or relevant advanced electronics environment.
  • Proven experience managing external suppliers and manufacturing partners, taking semiconductor hardware from prototype and NPI through production ramp-up to high-volume manufacturing.
  • Experience with supplier qualification, audits, and quality systems.

Responsibilities and challenges

  • Own and build the supply chain strategy for fabless semiconductor products and associated modules, with a focus on external manufacturing partners, production readiness, and scaling to volume.
  • Define and implement supplier selection, qualification, and product qualification flows, taking products from prototype and NPI through production ramp-up to high-volume manufacturing while ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Work closely with engineering, product, and quality teams to ensure design-for-supply-chain and manufacturability.
  • Track production progress daily, identifying and addressing any issues that could cause delays. Be hands-on in the field: visiting suppliers, conducting audits, supporting factory acceptance, and line bring-up.
  • Establish and manage strategic partnerships with foundries, OSATs, component suppliers, and logistics providers.
  • Lead technical (and potentially also commercial) negotiations: long-term supply agreements, capacity reservations, pricing models, and contractual frameworks.
  • Manage manufacturing capacity, cost, and supply-chain risks, ensuring supply continuity through dual sourcing, second-source strategies, and lifecycle planning.
  • Set up scalable processes for procurement, vendor management, quality incidents, and change management.
  • Represent TUSK at key industry events and engage with strategic partners.

Competences and qualifications

  • Deep understanding of semiconductor supply chains: foundries, OSATs, test, packaging, and module manufacturing
  • Comfortable operating in fast-moving, ambiguous scale-up environments
  • Willingness to travel internationally to suppliers and industry events
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across engineering, product, and leadership teams
  • Strong commercial negotiation skills and experience structuring long-term supplier agreements

What we offer

  • Make a visible impact: Drive and shape the supply chain of a fast-growing semiconductor scale-up, with real ownership and influence from day one.
  • Flexibility: Hybrid working with up to 3 days of remote work per week.
  • A great place to work: A beautiful Art Nouveau office in Antwerp, conveniently located near Berchem train station.
  • Meaningful technology: Contribute to next-generation satellite communication products designed for real-world applications.
  • Competitive package: An attractive salary and benefits package.
  • A team worth joining: Work with smart, kind, international colleagues who are ambitious, collaborative, and eager to learn from one another.
  • Room to grow: A budget for learning and development, including courses, conferences, and books.
  • Great coffee: Gourmet coffee, carefully selected by our local coffee aficionado.
