The Opportunities

Supply Chain Placement – Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail

Based within our Global Travel Retail business, you will be part of the team that brings our world-renowned portfolio of premium spirits and Champagne to life across airports, cruise ships, border stores and other travel retail channels worldwide. Discover how products reach travellers around the world. You could help the team plan stock levels and product availability, gaining hands-on insight into the supply chain behind an international travel retail business. Working with customers’ logistics teams and commercial colleagues, you could support sales forecasting, monitor inventory and help plan replenishment, making sure stock is available where and when it’s needed. Your work could include updating planning data, reviewing stock reports and highlighting potential shortages or excess stock for the team to investigate. Along the way, you’ll build your analytical, problem-solving and relationship-building skills, learning how teams use data and collaboration to keep products moving and customers supported.

Marketing Procurement Placement – Point of Sale (POS), Chivas Brothers

Ever wondered how branded glassware, bar mats and shop displays go from an idea to something you see in a shop, bar or pub? Based at Chivas Brothers, the Scotch whisky business behind brands including Chivas Regal, Ballantine’s, Royal Salute and The Glenlivet, you’ll help the team source, order and deliver these items, known as point-of-sale (POS) materials. You’ll work with suppliers to track production, quality and delivery dates, help keep an eye on stock levels and spending, and support getting materials where they need to be for marketing campaigns. You’ll also work with colleagues across Marketing, Sales and Supply Chain, keep purchasing information up to date and help prepare reports on suppliers, stock and online sales activity. It’s a chance to see how creative ideas become real products, learn how buying decisions balance cost, quality and timing, and build your organisation, communication and problem-solving skills through hands-on experience.

Customer Operations Placement – Pernod Ricard UK

Learn first-hand what it takes to keep products moving and customers supported. In the 3PL (third-party logistics) and Operations team, you’ll take ownership of practical tasks and build skills you can use throughout your career. You’ll manage free-goods orders from start to finish, helping samples reach new customers, events and staff training sessions. You’ll also look after a customer account, handling emails and working through challenges such as missed deliveries and missing stock. Along the way, you’ll build relationships with logistics partners, customers and colleagues, and learn how supply and demand planning works, including finding alternative products when needed. You’ll help get customer complaints and issues to the right people, and may also update process guides, maintain datasets and prepare data for analysis. It’s an opportunity to develop your communication, problem-solving and organisational skills while seeing how your work helps day-to-day operations run smoothly.
