About Prevail Partners Prevail Partners is a specialist risk management, intelligence, security, and operational support company delivering discreet, professional and unrelenting excellence to clients operating in complex environments. As our client portfolio continues to grow, we are seeking exceptional Close Protection Officers to join our expanding team. We are looking for individuals who take genuine pride in their appearance, conduct and professionalism, and who understand that providing security is about far more than physical protection. It is about building trust, demonstrating discretion and delivering a first-class service at all times. Our teams are trusted to protect people, property, and reputations. Success in this role requires professionalism, discretion, strong judgement, and an unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards. The Role We are seeking experienced Surveillance Officers to support an Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) client as part of a specialist protective security programme. This is not a traditional Close Protection role. We are looking for highly capable surveillance professionals who can discreetly identify, monitor and assess potential threats whilst operating as part of a wider protective security team. Successful candidates will be responsible for planning and conducting covert surveillance operations, gathering intelligence to support informed operational decision-making, and identifying hostile reconnaissance or suspicious behaviour before it presents a threat. The role may require travel throughout the UK and occasional overseas deployments, including overnight stays depending on operational requirements. This position offers flexibility regarding where candidates are based within the UK; however, successful applicants must be able to travel at short notice whenever operational requirements dictate. Due to the responsive nature of the role, applicants should not have competing full-time employment or other commitments that would impact their ability to deploy when required. A high level of flexibility, professionalism and operational readiness is essential. Key Responsibilities Conduct covert foot and mobile surveillance operations. Deliver protective surveillance in support of client movements, residences and planned activities. Identify hostile reconnaissance, suspicious behaviour and persons of concern. Plan, prepare and execute surveillance deployments in both urban and rural environments. Gather, record and accurately report intelligence and operational observations. Maintain constant situational awareness whilst operating discreetly and professionally. Liaise effectively with Close Protection Officers, Residential Security Teams and wider protective security personnel. Utilise surveillance techniques to support threat assessments and operational planning. Produce clear, concise and accurate written reports following deployments. Operate within legal, ethical and client confidentiality requirements at all times. Maintain surveillance equipment and ensure operational readiness. Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, discretion and personal conduct. Essential Requirements Extensive operational surveillance experience within the UK. Proven experience conducting covert surveillance in dynamic and fast-moving environments. Excellent observational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Strong understanding of hostile reconnaissance and behavioural detection. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Experience working as part of a professional multidisciplinary security team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to remain calm, adaptable and decisive under pressure. Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record. Willingness to travel throughout the UK and overseas when required. Ability to maintain the highest levels of discretion and confidentiality. Desirable Experience SIA Close Protection Licence. Former UK Police Surveillance Units. UK Intelligence Community experience. UK Special Forces or specialist military surveillance background. Government surveillance or intelligence roles. Experience supporting executive protection or protective surveillance operations. Advanced surveillance qualifications or specialist surveillance training. First Aid qualification. What We're Looking For Beyond operational experience, we are seeking professionals who: Demonstrate exceptional judgement and sound decision-making. Operate discreetly without drawing attention. Are patient, disciplined and methodical in their approach. Maintain professionalism in high-pressure environments. Understand the unique requirements of working with UHNW clients. Can identify emerging risks before they escalate. Produce accurate and objective intelligence reporting. Build effective working relationships within multidisciplinary security teams. Consistently demonstrate integrity, discretion and confidentiality. Share our commitment to delivering intelligence-led, discreet and uncompromising protective security. In addition to a competitive day rate, consultants engaged on this project will benefit from a range of deployment-related support and amenities, including: High-quality accommodation provided throughout the deployment period. Access to excellent on-site facilities, including a fully equipped gym and recreational spaces. Daily meals prepared by a private chef, ensuring a varied and nutritious dining experience. The opportunity to work alongside highly experienced professionals in a unique and rewarding operational environment. Exposure to complex projects and clients, providing valuable professional development and experience.
