We are looking for a Sustainability Consultant who enjoys the full project lifecycle, from shaping an idea and writing the proposal to delivering results with clients and partners. The position is based in Tallinn or Tartu.
You will:
Deliver sustainability projects for private and public sector clients together with project managers, the team lead and client teams;
Contribute to Horizon Europe and other EU-funded projects, including proposal preparation and project implementation;
Prepare sales proposals and tender bids, and help develop our sustainability service offering;
Understand client needs and translate them into clear, practical solutions;
Solve methodological puzzles and structure complex topics into actionable recommendations.
Requirements:
At least 2 years of experience in consultancy, sustainability, research or a related field;
Hands-on experience with carbon footprinting and/or Life Cycle Assessment (LCA);
Project management experience, or a strong interest in developing it, including planning, coordinating stakeholders and delivering on time;
Understanding of ESG topics, sustainability reporting (e.g. CSRD/ESRS, GRI), the EU regulatory framework for sustainability, circular economy and sustainable business models;
Strong analytical and structuring skills, and the ability to turn data and research into clear conclusions;
Curiosity about how businesses and organisations work, and how sustainability creates value for them;
Excellent written and spoken Estonian and English;
A university degree in a relevant field (e.g. natural sciences, engineering, mathematics, economics, environmental studies) is an advantage.
Advantageous experience:
Knowledge of Horizon Europe instruments and experience contributing to EU-funded projects and project lifecycle
Life Cycle Assessment, Techno-Economic Assessment, market research or business modelling;
Innovation management, technology transfer or commercialisation;
Knowledge of the EU taxonomy, climate, energy, biotech, digital or other emerging innovation sectors;
Confident use of AI tools for research, analysis and content development, with the judgement to critically assess their outputs.
