About Us

At We., we've spent decades at the intersection of technology and humanity, bridging the gap between what businesses create and how people experience those creations. We've learned that beneath even the most unruly situations — whether it's a global crisis, an emerging technology, or a sweeping organizational change—lies a simple human need. That need could be for trust, connection, safety, or a sense of purpose. But it’s always there. And it is only by uncovering these truths that we can make real, meaningful progress.

About the role

We are looking for a senior communications leader who understands public affairs is shaped in real time across social platforms, creators, communities, executives and culture.

The SVP, Content & Creator will bring deep public affairs and reputation expertise together with sophisticated social and digital experience to help organizations navigate complex issues, build influence and engage the audiences who shape business and policy outcomes.

This person will be a senior counselor to clients and teams, translating complex corporate, societal and policy issues into compelling, credible narratives built for the way information moves today.

What you’ll do

Lead modern public affairs strategy

  • Develop integrated communications strategies across public affairs, corporate reputation, executive communications, social and digital.
  • Help clients understand the people, communities and voices shaping conversation around their most important issues.
  • Turn complex policy, regulatory and societal topics into clear, human and culturally relevant narratives.
  • Advise senior executives and communications leaders through high-profile issues, moments of scrutiny and rapidly evolving conversations.

Bring a social-first mindset to reputation and influence

  • Understand how influence moves across social, podcasts, creator communities and emerging platforms.
  • Build strategies that use social not simply as a distribution channel, but as a source of intelligence, engagement and influence.
  • Identify the creators, experts, advocates, executives and communities who can credibly shape conversation.
  • Partner to develop executive social strategies that establish leaders as credible voices on the issues that matter to their organizations and stakeholders.
  • Use social listening, audience intelligence and cultural signals to anticipate emerging conversations and identify opportunities and risks.

Connect strategy to standout content

  • Partner with strategists, creatives and creators to translate complex ideas into accessible, compelling social-first content.
  • Develop narrative platforms and content ecosystems that can flex across executive, corporate, creator and owned channels.
  • Champion experimentation with new storytelling formats, platforms and technologies.

Be a senior client counselor

  • Build trusted relationships with C-suite executives, communications leaders and public affairs teams.
  • Bring a strong point of view on reputation, influence, culture and the changing media ecosystem.
  • Help clients navigate politically or culturally sensitive issues with sound judgment and an understanding of both stakeholder and audience dynamics.
  • Translate communications challenges into clear strategic choices and actionable programs.

Build the business and the team

  • Identify opportunities to expand public affairs, corporate reputation, executive social and influence work within existing client relationships.
  • Play a leadership role in new business, from shaping the strategic proposition through pitching and closing.
  • Build and mentor multidisciplinary teams spanning public affairs, content strategy, social, creators and creative.
  • Help evolve the agency’s point of view on what modern public affairs looks like in a fragmented, creator-driven media environment.
  • Own scopes, budgets and senior client relationships appropriate to the SVP level.

What we’re looking for

  • 15+ years of experience in communications, public affairs, corporate reputation, social strategy or related disciplines, with deeper experience expected at the VP level.
  • Significant hands-on experience developing social and digital strategy. Social expertise is essential, not a nice-to-have.
  • Strong understanding of public affairs, policy communications, reputation and issues management.
  • Experience counseling senior executives and C-suite leaders.
  • Deep understanding of how social platforms, creators, communities, traditional media and influential individuals interact to shape public opinion.
  • Experience using social listening, audience intelligence and cultural insights to inform communications strategy.
  • Ability to translate complicated policy or corporate topics into simple, compelling stories.
  • Strong creative instincts and the ability to recognize ideas that can earn attention rather than simply deliver a message.
  • Demonstrated experience leading integrated teams and significant client relationships.
  • Excellent judgment, particularly when navigating sensitive, polarized or rapidly evolving issues.

The person we’re looking for

You might have grown up in public affairs and become obsessed with social, or grown up in social and reputation and developed deep fluency in policy and issues.

Either way, you understand that the old boundaries between public affairs, corporate communications, social media and culture are disappearing.

You know that the people who influence an issue are no longer limited to journalists, policymakers and traditional stakeholders. They can also be employees, executives, creators, experts, advocates and highly engaged online communities.

And you know how to bring those worlds together to help organizations understand the conversation, participate credibly and ultimately shape belief.
