The purpose of this role is to develop go-to-market strategy that encompasses the product vision, positioning, pricing and promotion with a focus on increasing market awareness and contribute to product and technology strategy.

Job Description:

We’re looking for someone who has done the work of media: planned it, bought it, measured it, and proven it worked. As an SVP, Media Solutions: Data and Technology at Dentsu, you will be the bridge between our media teams and our global tech and data platform, dentsu.Connect, making sure planners, activators and analysts genuinely want to use it, and that clients see it drive better outcomes.

You’ll partner with dentsu Media new business and client teams to show real media workflows, not feature lists, across insights, audience, planning, activation and measurement. You’ll turn client briefs into compelling demonstrations and narratives that win pitches and position Dentsu as a leading choice for new business.

What You Bring:

  • You’ve spent a meaningful part of your career in hands-on media roles (planning, activation, investment, or media effectiveness/measurement) at an agency, publisher or platform.
  • You can speak credibly about how a planner builds a plan, how a trader optimizes a campaign, and how a measurement lead proves incrementality.
  • You’ve helped design, test or drive adoption of tools that media teams use daily, and you can tell us what made them stick or fail.
  • You care about whether media works, and you’re fluent in effectiveness methods (MMM, incrementality, attribution, brand lift) as a practitioner, not just a buyer of them.
  • You’re a roll-up-your-sleeves leader who builds the demo, not just presents it, and thrives under tight pitch timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Collaboration: Serve as the liaison between Global Data & Technology and media pitch teams across Carat, dentsuX and iProspect, collaborating on solutions that align with client briefs and showcase dentsu.Connect. Lead coordination across pitch teams and help win business with Dentsu’s platform and data.
  • Hands-On Demos and Media Workflow Collaboration: Build and deliver tailored dentsu.Connect demos from actual media workflows, such as a plan build, an optimization decision or a measurement readout, working in the platform yourself. Partner with agency capability experts to demonstrate the platform across briefing, audience insights and planning, activation and measurement.
  • Media Effectiveness: Ensure our proposals and demos show how dentsu.Connect improves measurable media outcomes, using real examples and evidence of results rather than capability claims.
  • Tool Adoption and Usability: Partner with product and media teams to capture what planners, activators and analysts need from our tools, and bring that feedback into the roadmap. Be the voice of the media user, and educate media teams on how the platform helps them work better and drives the best outcomes.
  • Client-Specific Solutions: Help develop and guide tailored written (e.g., RFP) and presentation responses that address pitch briefs and client requests, focusing on how dentsu.Connect can uniquely solve client media challenges. Guide win-themes and demo scripts in collaboration with key media leaders.
  • Data, Identity and AI in Media Terms: Translate Dentsu’s data, identity and AI capabilities into what they mean for a planner or investor, so internal teams and clients understand how they improve audience understanding, targeting, measurement and personalization.
  • Storytelling and Pitch Development: Partner with pitch teams to craft compelling, evidence-led narratives that illustrate the impact and differentiation of dentsu.Connect in addressing client objectives, and lead their integration into master pitch stories and win themes led by Media team members.
  • Innovation and Best Practices: Keep current with industry trends, emerging technologies and regulatory changes so that positioning and differentiation stay relevant to client challenges.
  • Cross-functional Leadership: Work closely with product, commercial and legal, data science, engineering and account teams to align on client requirements, share best practices, and refine pitch solutions and client-facing content. Lead through influence across teams you don’t directly manage.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collect and analyze pitch and client feedback to improve Dentsu’s data and technology solutions, identifying enhancements that align with market needs and client priorities.

Qualifications

  • Media Experience: 15+ years in media (planning, activation, investment, or effectiveness) at an agency, publisher or platform, including recent hands-on experience. Marketing technology experience is a plus but does not substitute for media experience.
  • Media Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in media planning and measurement, with working knowledge of data and identity as they apply to targeting and measurement.
  • Client Pitch and Collaboration Skills: Proven pitch experience: you have helped win client pitches and can turn complex solutions into compelling, client-centered content, both written and in the room.
  • Practitioner’s Judgment: You can look at a plan, a dashboard or a measurement readout and quickly tell what is strong and what is weak, and you can explain why to clients and colleagues.
  • Leadership: Experience leading through influence, working with media, product and data teams you don’t directly manage. Team leadership experience is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information in an accessible way to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Marketing, Business, Communications) or equivalent experience.
