Position: SVP of Business Intelligence

Location: Sandy Springs, GA/Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote)

Overview:

GreenSky is seeking a transformational Senior Vice President of Business Intelligence & Data Engineering to lead the organization's enterprise data strategy and accelerate its evolution into a data-driven fintech leader.

This executive will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive data, analytics, reporting, artificial intelligence, and business intelligence strategy that drives measurable business outcomes across credit, risk, operations, marketing, customer experience, finance, compliance, servicing, and executive leadership.

The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in modern data platforms, cloud architecture, business intelligence, AI/ML enablement, and financial services analytics with exceptional leadership capabilities. This leader will build and scale high-performing teams responsible for enterprise data engineering, analytics engineering, reporting, governance, master data management, and advanced analytics.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Define and execute GreenSky's enterprise data and analytics vision, roadmap, and operating model.
• Establish a multi-year strategy for data modernization, analytics innovation, and AI-enabled decision making.
• Create a world-class business intelligence function that delivers actionable insights across all business units.
• Establish enterprise KPI frameworks, scorecards, executive dashboards, and board-level reporting.
• Drive adoption of self-service analytics capabilities while maintaining governance and data integrity.
• Lead enterprise data architecture, platform engineering, data integration, and cloud data infrastructure.
• Oversee the optimization and expansion of GreenSky's data ecosystem, including Snowflake, ETL/ELT platforms, real-time data capabilities, and cloud-native architectures.
• Establish engineering standards for data quality, observability, scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
• Drive modernization initiatives that improve speed-to-insight and reduce operational complexity.
• Ensure compliance with lending, banking, privacy, regulatory, and audit requirements.
• Partner closely with Risk, Compliance, Information Security, and Legal teams to strengthen data controls and stewardship.
• Develop the vision for AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, and intelligent automation.
• Establish frameworks for responsible AI, model governance, and performance measurement.
• Drive the application of advanced analytics to customer acquisition, underwriting, fraud prevention, servicing optimization, and portfolio performance.

Required Skills/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, data science, information systems, or a related field.
• Master's degree preferred; MBA highly desirable.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in data engineering, business intelligence, analytics, or data management leadership.
• 8+ years leading enterprise-scale data and analytics organizations.
• Significant experience within fintech, banking, consumer lending, payments, or financial services.
• Proven leadership of large-scale cloud data platforms and modern data ecosystems.
• Deep expertise with:
• Snowflake
• SQL
• Python
• Modern ETL/ELT tools
• Data modeling
• Data governance frameworks
• Business intelligence platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Qlik, etc.)
• Demonstrated success developing enterprise data strategies and roadmaps.
• Experience presenting to executive leadership teams, regulators, boards, and investors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting lending, credit risk, fraud, servicing, or financial operations analytics.
• Experience implementing AI/ML solutions in regulated environments.
• Knowledge of consumer lending, point-of-sale financing, and banking regulations.
• Familiarity with real-time analytics and event-driven architecture.
• Experience leading enterprise data transformations during periods of rapid growth.

Our compensation structure is designed to reflect the cost of labor across various U.S. geographic markets. The base salary for this role ranges from $225,000 per year to $250,000 per year. Compensation will be determined by several factors, including relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus within a comprehensive total rewards package, alongside a full suite of medical, dental, vision, disability insurance, life insurance, 401k retirement benefits, paid time off, paid holidays, and paid personal/sick time.
