Right now, we are looking for a Sysadmin/Engineering HGW for a client on our Talent Team.

Your responsibilities include:

·Performing advanced troubleshooting of incidents affecting Linux-based Home Gateway Devices (HGWs), including fixed access networks, Wi-Fi connectivity, and IP services.

·Conducting low-level analysis in Linux environments, including shell operations, process management, memory usage, network diagnostics, and configuration review to identify root causes of issues.

·Investigating Wi-Fi-related problems such as coverage, interference, channel utilization, band steering, and performance degradation using metrics, packet captures, and diagnostic tools.

· Reproducing customer-reported issues in laboratory environments and characterizing them through technical evidence, including logs, network captures, and performance metrics.

·Developing and maintaining automation scripts (Python, Bash, or similar) to streamline testing, evidence collection, log analysis, and operational activities.

·Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including processes, analyses, workarounds, and recommendations, ensuring knowledge sharing and traceability across teams.

You must have:

·Strong hands-on experience with Linux systems, including debugging, system configuration, troubleshooting, and scripting (mandatory requirement).

·Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts and related services such as DNS, DHCP, routing, and network troubleshooting.

·Experience using network diagnostic and analysis tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, or similar.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis in complex technical environments.

· Excellent communication and documentation skills.

We value:

· Knowledge of Wi-Fi technologies, including 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks and IEEE 802.11 standards.

· Experience with fixed access technologies such as GPON and DOCSIS.

· Scripting and programming skills, particularly in Python and Bash.

· Familiarity with OpenWRT and embedded Linux environments.

·Experience working in telecommunications, networking, or broadband service environments.

· A proactive mindset, attention to detail, and a passion for troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
