The System Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of the organization's server infrastructure, cloud services, and enterprise systems. This role ensures the availability, security, and performance of systems while providing technical support, troubleshooting incidents, managing upgrades, and implementing best practices.

The System Administrator works closely with internal teams to support business operations, maintain system reliability, and deliver infrastructure improvements.

In this role, you will:

  • Administer and maintain Windows Server environments.
  • Monitor server performance, availability, and capacity to ensure optimal operation.
  • Manage virtualized environments using VMware vCenter.
  • Perform server provisioning, configuration, upgrades, and decommissioning.
  • Apply operating system and application patches in accordance with security policies.
  • Maintain hardware, storage, and backup systems.
  • Active Directory & Microsoft 365 Administration
  • Manage Active Directory users, groups, organizational units (OUs), and Group Policies (GPOs).
  • Administer Azure Active Directory and hybrid identity environments.
  • Support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Implement and maintain role-based access controls and security permissions.
  • Support vulnerability remediation and security patch management.
  • Monitor and maintain endpoint protection, antivirus, and multi-factor authentication solutions.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with organizational IT security standards.
  • Participate in security audits and system reviews.
  • Monitoring & Incident Management
  • Monitor infrastructure using enterprise monitoring tools.
  • Respond to incidents, service requests, and system alerts.
  • Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for infrastructure and application issues.
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and preventive actions within ITSM tools.
  • Support infrastructure projects, system migrations, and technology refresh initiatives.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, system diagrams, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with network, security, and application support teams to resolve issues and implement solutions.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing activities.
  • Participate in an on-call support rotation to provide after-hours support when required.
  • Support planned maintenance activities outside of regular business hours.

GROW WITH INTENTION

What You’ll Bring

  • 3-5 years of experience as a System Administrator, Infrastructure Administrator, or similar role.
  • Experience supporting Windows Server environments in a corporate setting.
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management.
  • Experience administering Microsoft 365 and Azure Active Directory.
  • Experience with VMware virtualization technologies.
  • Familiarity with server patching, monitoring tools, and backup solutions.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals and common services such as DNS, DHCP, HTTP, and SMTP.
  • Experience troubleshooting server, application, and infrastructure-related issues.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
