System Administrator

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Join Hexa as a Specialized Administrator and contribute to the reliability, performance and continuous improvement of IT infrastructure within the banking sector.

Based in Porto, this hybrid opportunity involves managing enterprise monitoring platforms, supporting infrastructure operations and implementing automation practices to improve service availability and operational efficiency.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Administer, configure and maintain monitoring platforms to ensure effective supervision of IT systems, applications and infrastructure.

- Manage monitoring infrastructure, contributing to system availability, performance and operational stability.

- Implement and optimize CI/CD processes to support automation and infrastructure management.

- Investigate and resolve technical incidents affecting monitoring services, applications and infrastructure.

- Provide technical support to infrastructure teams, application teams and users.

- Configure and maintain monitoring capabilities to improve visibility into infrastructure and application performance.

- Identify opportunities for operational optimization through automation and DevOps practices.

- Collaborate with technical teams to support troubleshooting, incident resolution and continuous service improvement.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- Between 6 and 9 years of professional experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration or monitoring services.

- At least 2 years of experience with Zabbix or substantial experience administering enterprise monitoring solutions.

- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze complex infrastructure and application issues.

- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary technical teams.

- Experience supporting infrastructure operations and implementing automation practices.

- Strong organizational skills, analytical thinking and a structured approach to problem-solving.

- Professional working proficiency in English, at B2 level or higher.

- Adaptability, continuous learning and a proactive approach to technical challenges.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

- Zabbix administration and monitoring configuration.

- Enterprise monitoring and observability tools, including Grafana, ELK Stack, AppDynamics or New Relic.

- Relational database fundamentals, preferably MySQL.

- CI/CD processes and DevOps practices.

- Version control systems, including Git or Bitbucket.

- Automation and continuous integration tools, including Jenkins.

- IT infrastructure management, monitoring and incident troubleshooting.

NICE TO HAVE

- Zabbix certification.

- Experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation.

- Knowledge of container technologies and orchestration platforms, including Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift.

- Familiarity with cloud environments, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform or private cloud infrastructure.

- Experience administering Windows and Linux systems.

- Professional working knowledge of French.
