TrueCommerce is hiring a Systems Administrator II to join our Tech Ops team, supporting the hosted SaaS platform applications and customer-facing services that make up our core network. You will support the infrastructure backbone for TrueCommerce. The systems you manage have direct revenue impact. You will gain experience in a production environment that demands high availability, thoughtful change management, and genuine engineering judgment.

You will work alongside an experienced team of engineers, taking ownership of application-level administration across Windows Server environments, IIS, and the platform services that keep the business running.

This is a hands-on role. You will own day-to-day systems operations, respond to incidents, maintain and improve infrastructure, and contribute to the documentation and automation that keeps the team running efficiently. This role is ideal for a builder, someone who likes to establish operations and process that will improve our outcomes. We are working to scale and automate what we do and looking for talent that operates with high agility, curiosity and initiative.

What You'll Do:

Day to Day Operations

  • Administer Windows Server environments across production, staging, and development, including patching, configuration, and lifecycle management
  • Administer IIS and application server configurations, including app pools, site bindings, logging, and performance settings
  • Support Kubernetes-hosted workloads as part of the team's growing containerized platform, including pod-level troubleshooting, deployment support, and monitoring of cluster health alongside the DevOps team
  • Monitor system health, respond to alerts, and participate in the team on-call rotation
  • Perform routine maintenance: backups, patch cycles, certificate renewals, storage management, and capacity checks
  • Support Active Directory administration, including user and group management, GPO, and DNS

            Azure Operations

            • Perform day-to-day Azure administration tasks for the tc.net environment, including VM management, storage, monitoring, and access control
            • Triage and resolve Azure alerts and incidents within the systems and platform pillar
            • Maintain and improve Azure monitoring dashboards and alerting configurations
            • Contribute to documentation of Azure resources, runbooks, and operational procedures

                  Incident and Change Support

                  • Participate in incident response, performing diagnosis and remediation for systems-layer issues
                  • Follow and improve change management procedures, including pre-change testing and rollback planning
                  • Write and maintain runbooks and SOPs so that operational knowledge is captured and transferable
                  • Contribute to post-incident reviews, identifying root causes and recommending preventive measures

                        Production Deployments and Release Support

                        • Serve as the infrastructure-side partner in the release process, working closely with development, QA, and engineering teams to advance the architecture of the customer-facing platform
                        • Own environment readiness for every production deployment: validate configurations, confirm infrastructure health, and ensure rollback paths are defined and tested before any release proceeds
                        • Participate in release coordination, contributing infrastructure judgment to deployment timing, environment sequencing, and risk assessment
                        • Work directly with QA and engineering on environment design and scaling decisions that affect production reliability
                        • Participate in deployment post-mortems and help drive improvements to the release process over time

                                Automation and Improvement

                                • Identify repetitive manual tasks and propose and implement automation to reduce operational toil
                                • Support infrastructure-as-code efforts as the team matures its automation practices
                                • Collaborate with the DevOps team on infrastructure changes tied to modernization and containerization efforts

                                    Who You Are:

                                    • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a systems administrator or infrastructure engineer
                                    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
                                    • Must be willing to work rotating on-call, shared across the systems pillar
                                    • Windows Server administration, including installation, configuration, patching, and troubleshooting
                                    • Hands-on Azure experience, including VM management, Azure Monitor, storage, and RBAC
                                    • Hands-on Kubernetes experience, including kubectl, workload management, and cluster observability
                                    • Active Directory fundamentals: user and group management, GPO, DNS, and basic domain operations
                                    • Experience administering IIS or comparable application server platforms, including configuration, troubleshooting, and performance management
                                    • Familiarity with backup and recovery procedures and tools
                                    • Experience supporting production deployments, including pre-deployment environment validation and rollback readiness
                                    • Ability to read logs, trace issues across systems, and communicate findings clearly
                                    • Organized and documentation-oriented, comfortable writing and maintaining runbooks and SOPs

                                                      Preferred Experiences
