Position Overview

A financial technology organization is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with Fixed Income and Capital Markets experience to support sophisticated trading and post-trade technology environments.

This is a hands-on technical role combining systems engineering, application support, troubleshooting, automation, and financial markets expertise. The ideal candidate has supported trading or post-trade platforms and is comfortable working directly with front-office and middle-office users in a fast-paced financial environment.

Candidates should bring strong experience with Windows Server, SQL, FIX messaging, TCP/IP networking, and Fixed Income products. Experience within a bank, broker-dealer, trading firm, hedge fund, exchange, or financial technology organization is highly desirable.

What You'll Do

- Provide hands-on systems engineering and application support for Fixed Income and Capital Markets platforms.

- Troubleshoot complex production and customer issues across applications, servers, databases, and networks.

- Analyze Windows system logs, application logs, databases, services, and network activity to identify root causes.

- Investigate FIX messaging and other electronic trading or post-trade communication issues.

- Install, configure, deploy, and maintain applications across development, UAT, and production environments.

- Write SQL queries to investigate application and data issues within MS SQL Server.

- Create scripts and automation to streamline deployments, operational workflows, monitoring, and recurring support tasks.

- Partner with software development teams to analyze defects, escalate complex issues, test fixes, and coordinate releases.

- Support release engineering processes including versioning, environment promotion, rollback, and deployment automation.

- Document incidents, troubleshooting procedures, technical configurations, and support resources.

- Monitor application performance and identify opportunities to improve stability and operational efficiency.

- Participate in an after-hours support rotation for priority production issues.

- Serve as a technical resource to clients and internal teams on Fixed Income trading, pricing, market data, and reference data.
