System Engineer

Title: Information Systems Architect - Advanced - On-Prem Systems Engineer

Location: 1201 Main Street Suite 600, Columbia, SC 29201 (100% Remote - EST Candidates Only)

Duration: 12 Months (Possibility of extension)

Interview Process: 2 Virtual Rounds

Role is fully remote and looking for candidate who can work on W2 only.

Required Skills & Experience:

5+ years' experience with Active Directory: domain services, replication, delegation, permissions, domain controller troubleshooting.

5+ years' experience with Group Policy: design, scoping, filtering, troubleshooting, change control in a large environment.

5+ years' experience with PowerShell: modules, error handling, remote execution, scheduled/unattended scripts, AD/GPO automation.

3+ years' experience with implementation of CIS benchmarks (or equivalent hardening baselines) on Windows endpoints via GPO and scripting.

5+ years' experience with Windows Server administration and lifecycle management across a large server estate (build, patch, upgrade, decommission).

Experience with documenting while working: SOPs, runbooks, change records kept current.

Experience working from a tracked work queue (such as Azure DevOps boards) and within formal service request and change control processes.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have:

Experience with task automation/orchestration beyond PowerShell (scheduled workflows, automation platforms).

Endpoint patch management experience (third-party app and Windows OS patching).

Third-party application packaging and deployment automation (e.g., PDQ).

PKI and AD Certificate Services operations.
