Seeking a System Engineer Windows with Citrix expertise to design, operate, and optimize high-availability Microsoft server and VDI environments.

We are looking for a skilled System Engineer Windows with a focus on Citrix to design, implement, and operate high-availability virtualization environments and Microsoft server landscapes for demanding clients. This role is based in Frankfurt with a hybrid work setup and requires collaboration across cross-functional teams to deliver reliable IT infrastructure and services.

• Location: Frankfurt am Main, Germany
• Work setup: Hybrid – 50% remote, 50% onsite
• Salary: Up to €85,000 gross per year, based on experience
• Start date: ASAP
• Team size: 5 direct colleagues in the Windows team
• Reports to: Team Lead & Service Manager

• Operate high-availability virtualization environments with a focus on Citrix
• Maintain and optimize Microsoft-based server landscapes
• Administer Windows Server 2016–2022
• Manage Microsoft applications such as Exchange (ideally clustered), MS SQL, and other Microsoft-based applications
• Collaborate across Managed Hosting & Network teams
• Occasional onsite visits to customers (very rare – a driver’s license is a plus)

• 3+ years in a similar IT operations role (5+ years from other IT backgrounds)
• Expertise with Citrix and other high-availability virtualization systems
• Solid experience with Windows Server 2016–2022
• Admin-level experience in Exchange (ideally clustered), MS SQL, and Microsoft-based applications
• Completed IT-related vocational training (minimum requirement)
• Fluent German (C1) and good English (B2)

• Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, SCCM, PowerShell)
• University degree in tech or natural sciences
• Experience with hosting environments & customer-driven solutions
• Citrix certifications

• Location: Frankfurt am Main
• Work Setup: Hybrid – 50% remote (2–3 days per week), 50% onsite
• Core hours: 11:00–16:00 | Trust-based working time
