Location: In-Office, Hybrid: Orchard Park, NY
Position Description
Summary:
The System Office is seeking a Financial Aid Coordinator to provide expert support across all campus locations, focusing on financial aid processing. In addition, this role will review attendance information and work directly with the Academic Department to confirm accuracy. This role is part of the System Office Financial Aid Department and reports directly to the System Technical Financial Aid Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review daily receipts of Direct Loan and Pell origination and disbursement records and resolve any errors.
- Monthly receipt and Banner import of Federal Direct Loan statement files from COD.
- Review all paper checks related to student credit balances to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including all student accounts with credit balances exceeding $3,000.
- Review attendance reporting for accuracy; working with campus associates when necessary.
- Assist the System Technical Financial Aid Manager, and System Office Financial Aid team, with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Degree: Bachelor’s degree
- Experience: 0 - 3 years financial aid experience
- Computer Skills: Proficient
- Phone Skills: Excellent
- Cannot be in default on any Title IV loans
Preferred qualifications:
- Degree: Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience: 1-2 years financial aid experience
- SIS: Ellucian Banner
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Position requires standing or sitting in a stationary position as well as the occasional need to lift, carry, push, and/or move objects up to 10 pounds.
Position also requires the use of computer technology/equipment.
Position requires the ability to receive information in person and over the telephone.
Position requires the ability to convey detailed and important instructions or ideas accurately.

Salary Information:
The annual salary range for this role is $53,000 - $63,000 ($25.48 - $30.29 per hour)
