As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for administering, maintaining, and optimizing Arcera's Microsoft-based IT infrastructure across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. You will ensure the reliability, security, and performance of critical systems while supporting business operations and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server 2019/2022/2025) and associated roles/services (DNS, DHCP, File/Print, IIS) - Linux experience is a plus. Administer Active Directory (on-premises and hybrid with Entra ID/Azure AD): manage users, groups, group policies (GPO) Administer Microsoft 365 / Office 365 environments: Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Intune (for device management) Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, patching, and updates. Incident response, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, connectivity problems and perform root cause analysis. Automate routine tasks using PowerShell scripting, create custom scripts for monitoring/diagnostics, and support configuration management. Ensure security compliance: apply patches and support the remediation of vulnerabilities Provide technical support, documentation, and training to end-users or junior staff; collaborate on IT projects Maintain inventory, asset documentation, and prepare reports on system status. Required Qualifications & Skills Experience: Over 4 years in IT systems administration, with strong emphasis on Microsoft technologies. Excellent written and spoken English Experience working in a GxP environment is a plus Certifications: Any Microsoft certifications are a plus. Core Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of Windows Server and desktop OS (Windows 10/11). Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP. Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune). PowerShell scripting for automation. Administration of Vmware. Basic networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls). Security concepts (patching, MFA, Zero Trust, compliance). Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication and documentation skills, ability to work independently with flexibility over hours, strong teamwork across multiple geographies and the ability to work in a constantly changing environment.
