What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a professional responsible for ensuring the continuous, secure, and efficient operation of the organization's systems, technology platforms, and IT infrastructures. This role will be focused on maintaining availability, performance, scalability, and business continuity while supporting the evolution of technology environments across on-premises and cloud platforms.

What You Will Do on a Daily Basis

• Administer, monitor, and maintain operating systems, servers, networks, and technology platforms across on-premises and cloud environments.

• Ensure the availability and performance of critical systems through proactive monitoring and optimization initiatives.

• Manage virtualization environments, containers, and cloud computing platforms.

• Implement and maintain security controls, backup strategies, disaster recovery processes, and business continuity measures.

• Diagnose and resolve technical incidents and problems while ensuring agreed service levels are met.

• Automate operational processes and recurring tasks to improve efficiency and reduce risks.

• Collaborate in the design and implementation of scalable and resilient technology architectures.

• Work closely with development teams to support DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

• Document operational procedures, configurations, and best practices.

• Manage updates, patches, and lifecycle activities for systems and platforms, while supporting audits and compliance requirements.

Your Main Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Solid knowledge of Linux and Windows Server administration.

• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and/or container platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience working with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

• Knowledge of networking technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and firewalls.

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools.

• Knowledge of scripting and automation using Shell, Python, or PowerShell.

• Familiarity with information security best practices.

• Professional proficiency in English.

• Availability to work in a hybrid model, splitting time between the Alcanena and Lisbon offices, with one remote working day per week.
