Responsibilities
Your Work
In this role, you will:
- Analyzes all aspects of business unit functions to determine system, integration and optimal use of information systems.
- Own analysis and solution design across multiple systems/domains for programs.
- Define end-to-end process/integration/data flows aligned to enterprise standards.
- Define system integration test scenarios and drive their automation.
- Coach other analysts and scale reusable patterns, templates, and metrics.
- Prepares charts and flow diagrams to assist in problem analysis and submits recommendations for solution.
- Provide analytical support and troubleshooting for system-related issues.
- Work directly with the product stakeholders and/or engineering teams to understand the business domain.
- Recommend the most efficient and cost-effective implementation, leveraging reusable features where possible.
- Understand, document, and communicate upstream/downstream dependencies supporting assigned development areas
- Assist in creating, refining, and maintaining user stories, acceptance criteria and associated deliverables.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate new features and improvements.
- Ensure security and compliance standards are met throughout the development and deployment process.
- Lead the team in regular system audits and implement necessary updates and patches.

Pay Range for California : $111540.00 to $167420.00
Pay Range for Bay Area : $125736.00 to $188728.00
Note : Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate experience, location (California, Bay Area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.

Your Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- 7 years of prior relevant experience
- Abilities in one or more primary products, programs or technologies
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to influence stakeholders and technical counterparts
- Excellent problem-solving and prioritization skills
- Deep experience leading analysis and solution design across multiple systems/domains, including end-to-end process and data flows.
- Experience with software systems architecture concepts and integration patterns.
- Strong governance and quality discipline (traceability, controls, documentation) and ability to manage risks/issues to closure.
- Requires complex systems knowledge and experience, preferably within one of these functional areas
- Payment systems, ERPs
- Financial transactional systems
- High volume operational transaction processing systems (e.g. claims, enrollment, billing)
- System-to-system data exchanges and transformation
- Requires database understanding and expert level SQL querying skillset
- Requires understanding and experience in Agile methodology, Product Model,
- DevSecOps and Agile tools
- Proven ability to function in a fast moving and rapidly evolving environment
