- Australian Citizen — you must be eligible to obtain a Baseline security clearance (no exceptions for this federal gig).
- Demonstrated experience in requirements definition and management at SFIA Level 3 — you can elicit, document, prioritise and baseline requirements for real.
- Based in Melbourne, VIC (or ready to relocate) — the role is hybrid with mandatory onsite for the first 6 weeks.
Cloud Delivered is on the hunt for a sharp Associate Systems Analyst (APS5-equivalent) to join a high-impact federal programme in Melbourne, VIC.
Picture this:You're embedded in a large-scale federal agency, translating gnarly business requirements into clean technical specs that actually get built. You're the bridge between the business users who know what they need and the dev and test teams who make it happen. You're writing functional specs, reviewing requirements for gaps, supporting solution design, and keeping stakeholders aligned — all while working hybrid (after your first 6 weeks onsite to get your feet under the desk).
This is an up-to-12-month contract (with extensions up to 24 months) kicking off around 01/01/2027. It's a genuine opportunity to grow your federal government career in a team that values evidence-based decisions and ethical practice.
At Cloud Delivered, we've been ICT contractors ourselves. We know what a well-scoped systems analyst role looks like — and this one's the real deal. The team is structured, the work is meaningful, and there's room to make your mark.
What you'll be doing:- Analysing and evaluating business processes and translating them into technical requirements
- Writing functional specifications and solution documents
- Conducting test coverage reviews, test planning and informal test execution
- Collaborating with stakeholders to resolve issues and drive timely delivery
- Supporting system configuration, change management and solution lifecycle activities
- Peer-reviewing specs and design documents as part of quality management
Hybrid working (Melbourne, VIC) — onsite for the first 6 weeks, then flexible. You'll need to be within reasonable travel distance of the Melbourne office for when the business needs you in the room.
If you tick the essentials below, we'll help you nail the pitch and get you in front of the right people.
